Ewesa: October 2007

Ok, seven random things, here we go-. 1 I'm more into clothes and shopping since I moved to Seattle and got annoyed with all the preppy-looking people there. It may have been grunge everywhere else, but on Queen Anne Hill it was preppy. I tried to stand out by finding interesting things to wear. 2 I love ketchup. 3 My thumbs are double-jointed. 6 My car is called "The Muffin Car" by some of my friends. Thanks Hyo, that was kinda fun! You know, sometimes things align and there's suddenly, out of nowhere, ...

Joseph from seattle came to visit! After a stop by the visitor's center (did you guys know it costs $9 to visit now? After the island we went to ward's house, then to the SLC library where we met back up with Joseph's family and said goodbye to him again until he returns sometime, maybe in the spring. It was good to see you Joseph! Ward and I then 'rented' some videos from the library and had a nice time unwinding, watching shakespeare, and eating mini-muffins. I wish this was larger. Afterward we went t...

The Mickelsen's Monkeyshines: The Many Faces
http://jamesandalicia.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-many-faces.html
Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Mean face. (These is her favorite face to make.). Siri is well known for the faces she pulls. She most often likes do make them while going to the bathroom, during dinner, and during prayers. She is also a great copy cat and a mischief maker. She always has to be doing what Lizzy is doing. I will have two great bakers one day. She enjoys making giant messes for the sake of making a giant mess. Clearly I need to take more pictures of my other children. We're a happy family!

The Mickelsen's Monkeyshines: Lizzy Turns 5!
http://jamesandalicia.blogspot.com/2014/01/lizzy-turns-5.html
Monday, January 20, 2014. Even though I've had a month to get used to the idea, I still can't believe my little Lizzy Girl is 5 years old. I am the lamest mom that ever existed, and I have very few pictures from her big day. I have even less of Christmas, so yeah, I'm lame. She opened her gifts first thing in the morning, like 6:45 in the morning. We wanted Logan to be part of the festivities before he had to go to school. I'm sorry for myself! But, it's what makes you you. You will go into in-depth deta...

Flynnur: May 2011
http://flynnur.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 13, 2011. Flynn Easter Traditions in St. George. I have the ultimate grandparents. Dick and June are just like a pair sent straight from central casting to the set of a Hallmark movie. They like to sit in the motel room at the same place they’ve been coming for twenty years. Since childhood we in my immediate family have called them Farmor and Farfar – Swedish for father’s mother and father’s father. To the rest of the family they are Grandma and Grandpa. Super 8, I think. 8221; but also reve...

Friday, September 11, 2009. Give Me One More Hit. The US. Open is like a drug. And I've been addicted to it all this week and most of last. The quarterfinals are basically over, although the Nadal-Gonzales match remains undecided as of today. Rain. If I had my druthers, Caroline Wozniacki would win the women's title and Rafa would win the men's. It would mean a career Grand Slam (Australian, French, Wimbledon and U.S.) for Nadal. 'Round the Bend: The power of Women
http://lorenclark.blogspot.com/2009/03/power-of-women.html
Musings from a corner in Kaysville. Thursday, March 5, 2009. The power of Women. I received an e-mail recently that had an article. On the correlation between the safety/security of women and the relative peacefulness of the nations in which they live. I quote from the BYU news release. The researchers spent seven years building a new database. This research is available at http:/ womanstats.org. And boasts that is has "the most comprehensive compilation of information on the status of women in the world.

Musings from a corner in Kaysville. Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Ball Game, part 2 (extra innings). After a little feedback from friends and a Louisville Slugger to the head (courtesy of an anonymous comment on my 'flaky' analogy posted a few weeks ago. I thought I'd elaborate a little on the baseball/dating comparison:. 1 This analogy is probably more fitting to a baseball practice or baseball tryouts. Don't take it beyond the pitcher-batter idea. But the scriptural reference says it best. Thanks for all...
