A Horse’s Tale | Satellite Ride
https://plumseed.wordpress.com/2011/01/20/a-horses-tale
Homespun Tales From An American Girl. January 20, 2011. A Horse’s Tale. My friend Elaine must be psychic. Yesterday afternoon she brought two bales of hay over for the skinny colt. Since he’s a wild horse, I wasn’t sure I’d find him again after seeing him for the first time a few days ago. Turns out he found me. I’d walked the pipeline trail to the post office this afternoon and I’d noticed hoof tracks. On the way back I noticed. Thank you, Colt. Thank you, Elaine. Thank you, Mother Earth. You can follow...
The Weird Thing I Found | Satellite Ride

Homespun Tales From An American Girl. January 24, 2011. The Weird Thing I Found. I climbed the Crest of Montezuma this morning. The northernish part. The rocky, bald looking part of the crest in the upper left of the above photo. Here’s the present I made from cat food cans and attached to a juniper on the Crest:. On the climb/shale slide descent, I found a Weird Thing. I don’t know what it is but I bet my friend Jim would know. It’s rubber, I think, and well, weird:. I miss him. I’m trying to ...You can...
A new path to the post office | Satellite Ride

Homespun Tales From An American Girl. January 15, 2011. A new path to the post office. Yesterday I found my way to the Placitas post office and it’s nothing like the old way to the old post office in town. I’m stupified by the beauty I’m bobbing around in. Perodically, I check to see if my feet are touching Mother Earth. Half of the trail to the post office is pure wild and the rest is paved road of the less traveled sort. That’s part of the Sandia mountain range in the background, shiny with snow. After...

Into that inevitable night | Satellite Ride

Homespun Tales From An American Girl. January 12, 2011. Into that inevitable night. My Uncle Edgar passed away yesterday. He’d been desperately sick for a while and we’re glad he no longer suffers. I’m convinced he’s gone to a Better Place. I feel mostly for my grandmother. She’s buried two husbands and now she lays to rest a second child. It seems backward when a child leaves this world before the parent. Grandma Vicki loves her children. This is going to hurt her. A little sugar in my bowl. 2 responses...

Life and times in the heart of New Mexico. January 4, 2011. Last, but not Least. Posted by Blue Carmela under Alright Now. It is time to wave goodbye to this blog place. You’ve been wonderful company. Hug yourself from me for that. You might not think it, but you make life worth living. You do. I miss Clay. He has been my constant companion for 12 years and 11 months. Because of being with him, I feel healed and whole. Thanks to him, I understand true, altruistic love. I’ll see you on the flip side.
