summer as winter | Fancy Feet

Turning my tragedy into hope. I took a break. I didn’t mean to. The time just snuck up on me. After two years of spending many emotions tap-tapping them into words; I was empty, quiet, flat. School ended, summer really began in August, and after completing a guide for the book. I powered down and switched off. Scott jumped out of planes, and the kids and I did summer. The season of kids. And I enjoy them enjoying the summer. Real posts coming soon. I swear. This entry was posted in annie and ben. And thi...

Imagine Angie: Full
http://imagineangie.blogspot.com/2015/06/full.html
Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Sometimes abundance appears before me - effortlessly - ripe on the vine, bursting with color and flavor, kissed by the sun, surrounded by fragrant blooms. Even before I pluck it and bring it to my lips I can taste its sweetness, feel its juice dripping down my chin. Those moments pass too quickly. In the between when the world goes from fertile to fallow, veiled in gray, I must, I must. Taste the sweetness again. But how, when my eyelids are heavy, my energy stores empty?

Our Journey: August 2009
http://carrie-ourjourney.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Puck's Congenital Heart Defect. Monday, August 31, 2009. To sex or not to sex, that was the question, and apparenty I didnt know it. Five minutes before Scott left for work he revealed why he had been aloof all day. He was mad because today was the 14th, and he had that dated circled (his words not mine) for the all important love making session that would occur. My disbelief and shock soon turned to rage. He had that date circled? Saturday, August 1, 2009. My favorite part of owing my own home was the n...

Our Journey: This House
http://carrie-ourjourney.blogspot.com/2012/02/this-house.html
Puck's Congenital Heart Defect. Wednesday, February 1, 2012. I shake my fist at the heritage artifice that is my home; often times cursing its poor construction and my naivety at being a first time home buyer. Against our better judgement, spurred on by excitement and the ultimate sign of independence, we waived the option for inspection. It was a brand new development surely it was built properly. Now I find that I fantasize about leaving this place and purchasing some land with a farm. It's a stubborn ...

whispers in the the silence: in the throne room
http://whispersinthesilence.blogspot.com/p/in-throne-room.html
31 Days of Deep Love Diving. In the throne room. In the throne room. When I write about God, I feel closer to Him. It also helps me understand truths and His words to me that would be left undiscovered if they stayed as thought. I also hope they may be an encouragement and help to others. Because He has encouraged me through the words I've read that others have written. It's amazing grace when He choose to whisper though another. My faith story is here. You can browse my faith-based musings here. A Work ...

whispers in the the silence: day 24: the fastest way to God
http://whispersinthesilence.blogspot.com/2012/10/day-24-fastest-way-to-god.html
31 Days of Deep Love Diving. In the throne room. Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Day 24: the fastest way to God. View all the 31 Days of Deep Love Diving posts here. I never thought about fasting until I knew Jesus. Not eat food on purpose. That sounded like pure craziness. Obviously I didn't get it. Instead I chose to fast from other things like TV, the computer, books. Picking through garbage for food ( photo source. Then, I read Seven by Jen Hatmaker. I want to crave Him. It's still hard and not fun and ...

Life is, indeed, very good. Life is, indeed, very good. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. You may remember Peter's birthday list that I posted here. A few years ago. I always keep their Christmas and birthday lists, because I think it's so fun to see what their hearts' desire is as they grow older. I thought you might like the Christmas list that Peter handed to me a month ago. Tuesday, December 20, 2011. A new blogger in the family. Miss Amelia Jane has just started her very own blog! Life is, indeed, very good. Life is, indeed, very good. Saturday, February 9, 2013. On being vulnerable and moving on. No, I guess not.but then it wouldn't really be my blog. So here I am stumbling over whether to write an honest post about life, write just an update on events, or not write at all. Well, I've made up my mind to write, so I guess it will unfold as it unfolds. How's that for vague? Those kids are truly bombarded with crap every day, and it's hard on this mama's heart! Chatting at the sky.

Life is, indeed, very good. Life is, indeed, very good. Saturday, August 27, 2011. Back to July.Joe goes to camp! This year was Joe's first time as a camper at Pine Lake Christian Camp in Eldora, IA! He's been there countless times already.once for family camp, once for a work weekend, and many many times taking Janie and Sam to and from their weeks at camp. This July was Joe's turn! I also knew what old friend was secretly folded inside his pillowcase for those moments when he missed home just a little!
