Salchichatu: March 2008
http://salchichatu.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 17, 2008. Two new successful cooking experiences! I made heart shaped meatloaf for Mark! Okay, that's a lie. I made it for me. The recipe was all "shape mixture into a loaf" and I was all ".but why would I do that when I could shape it into ANYTHING I WANT? I would have made something really elaborate, but I figured I should start simple and see how it goes. I'm thinking Toro-shaped meatloaf next time. 1-1/2 cups finely chopped onion. 1 tablespoon minced garlic. 1 teaspoon olive oil. Stir t...

Meals on Wheeless: February 2008
http://mealsonwheeless.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
February 25, 2008. It was National Banana Bread Day sometime this weekend. Saturday? I don't remember. I can't say that I crave banana bread like some people, but there were some renegade bananas that we bought last week that went straight from green to brown, and they had to be taught a lesson. Onward! I think I succeeded, so there. I adapted my recipe from this one. Friggin' Healthy Banana Bread. 1/4 cup plain yogurt. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 cup whole wheat flour. 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour.

Meals on Wheeless: Food Resolutions
http://mealsonwheeless.blogspot.com/2008/03/food-resolutions.html
March 10, 2008. I'm just back from traveling (Texas, North Carolina), and I'm working through the backlog of things that have accumulated in my absence. I do have some recipes that might be of interest to you, my faithful readers, but I first wanted to take a step back and look at the big picture. Maybe it's March, but that's okay - it's time for some food resolutions for the year. I will attempt to make the following this year:. Pickled cucumbers, sauerkraut, pickled beets, etc. But I Suck at Cooking!

Traditional Cake: Urban Death March
http://blog.traditionalcake.org/2009/09/urban-death-march.html
Saturday, September 12, 2009. Amy and I are celebrating our one-year wedding anniversary this weekend. Though we have a couple things planned for the weekend, we decided to go on a hike to Discovery Park. In Seattle. I had never been and our goal of going there last week was complicated by cougar problems. We left the apartment around 8am, swung by Cafe Besalu. For some killer French pastries and then the hike was on. And boy did we hike:. In a larger map. The main leg ended up being over nine miles!
