Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Suubi Project Necklace- $20. The Suubi Project is a group of about 65 Acholi women (mostly widows) who have fled the war and genocide in Northern Uganda. The women handcraft each necklace by forming beads from recycled paper. ALL the proceeds are then directed back to Uganda through the organization Light Gives Heat, which runs literacy classes, English classes, computer classes, etc to offer restoration to Uganda and its people.
