Horticultural Information and Happenings in the QGolf Club Turf Care Department. Sunday, January 8, 2012. Hello Everyone, Welcome to 2012! I sincerely hope that you all enjoyed the holiday season and I wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Successful New Year. Each plant can produce 15,000 seeds. So in theory each plant can produce 225 trillion plants! No wonder it's such a pain. And to make matters worse, an estimated 22% of chickweed seeds are still viable after 10 years. Thursday, March 20, 2014. Why the greens aren't consistently green. As I'm sure you have all noticed, our greens are sporting a pretty funky appearance this winter. They are quite "blotchy" and not as consistently green as they have been in the past during this time of year. The turf growth rates have also been quite inconsistent from one green to another and even within each individual green. 6 green - March 20, 2014. The good news is that with the water level dropped to improve our drainage this time of year, we were able to effectively inspect the rocks on the pond banks for bryozoans and we found no visible evidence of any bryozoan infestation. This is VERY good news! Here is a photo of the recent samples taken from both our city water source and our irrigation pond water:. High sodium ...

Sunday, January 26, 2014. What are those white dots on some of the greens? If you've played golf here during the last couple weeks, you may have noticed some white paint dots along the perimeter of the lower putting green, #6 green and #15 green.
