Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart. Fuel Supply (Drag Racing). Is it ok to run a -10AN in and out of the fule pump? I am using methanol and want to keep the volume as high as possible to the carb. Will use -8 lines from the regulator to the carb inlet. I use a front moiunted tank with a -12AN from the tank to the inlet side of the pump. I neck the -12 down to a -10 at that point. Keep it at -10 until after the regulatr going to -8 inlets to the carb. Any problems doing this that you can see?

Regulator (General Applications) - Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart
http://hcstewartjr1.websitetoolbox.com/post/regulator-general-applications-6325039
Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart. Howard, I have one of your regulators with the bypass and 7 to 15 lb spring. Can I use this with an electric fuel pump? Will it regulate less than 7 psi? Yes, the Race Pumps regulator will work very well with your electric pump, and you can adjust down to 6 PSI. Will it work ok with the regulator in a laying down position instead of with the inlet on the bottom? Yes, the regulator can be mounted in any position. Enter your video clip URL below:.

Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart. Eratic Fuel Pressure (General Applications). Hi there, I have a BBC #1600 and a 5010 regulator with an idle bleed fitted. I run -10 from the gas tank to the pump and -8 from the pump to the regulator. I also have your - 6 line kit from the reg to the carb. I have the idle bleed fitted but have a -6 line back to the tank not a -4 as recomended. I also have a pressure gauge fitted in the 1/8 fitting in the regulator. This is an easy check. Fire the engine an...

Cummins Diesel - Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart
http://hcstewartjr1.websitetoolbox.com/post/cummins-diesel-6347824
Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart. Will the pump flow that much pressure and volume? Remember diesels don't turn quite the RPMs that gas engines do. I have heard one person say that the pump is not angled correctly in the flange the way you sell it for our cummins. Is it also possible to get just the pump with out the flange(looks like its pressed into it), so we could get our own flange made and use this pump? Also what is required from a camshaft to run this pump? Login to make your opinion c...

Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart. Fuel leak (General Applications). Hi Howard, I have been using my pump for a while and have been more than happy with it. Recently the engine has been sitting unused and the pump has developed a fuel leak from the front, around the circlip. Pump has been used with both gasoline and alcohol fuels. Is this something the rebuild kit will fix? Rebuild kits are available for $9.95 on the website. Enter your video clip URL below:. Login to make your opinion count.

Cranking pressure enough to start EFI? (General Applications) - Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart
http://hcstewartjr1.websitetoolbox.com/post/cranking-pressure-enough-to-start-efi-general-applications-5564424
Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart. Cranking pressure enough to start EFI? Do your pumps require a primer pump (like most belt driven fuel pumps) to build sufficient fuel pressure during cranking/starting an engine with EFI? Fuel level would be below the pump. A primer pump required in most EFI applications. Mechanical pumps don't make enough pressure at cranking RPMs to fire off most EFI systems. Unsupported photo file type. Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart. Is the idle pressure adjustable on the deadhead regulators in an alcohol application? If so, how is it adjusted? The idle pressure is usually adjusted by adjustment screw in the top of the regulator. It can also be adjusted by changing the jet in the idle bleed. Race Pumps Q&A, Moderated by Howard Stewart. Fuel Pressure Line (General Applications). Just wondering on the fuel regulator how to hook up the fuel pressure gauge the diagram doesn't show how to hook that up just curious running alky. The current regulators have a 1/8" NPT port next to the idle bleed/return. This is typically used for the fuel pressure gauge.the fuel pressure gauge can be installed anywhere on the carburetor side of the regulator. Enter your video clip URL below:. Or Create an account.
