Some books we are reading. Towards a Gospel-Centred Church. Keeping the Main Thing the Main Thing. July 20, 2009. Our Best Life…Not Yet. Posted by ephesians310 under Uncategorized. The world feeds us with a steady diet of glittering messages that promise our best life. May God help us to fix our hope on Christ, as we patiently live in light of his return. May we glorify him, even as we shall one day be glorified in him. The bride eyes not her garment, but her dear Bridegroom’s face. July 17, 2009.

Who we are | Towards a Gospel-Centred Church
https://ephesians310.wordpress.com/about
Some books we are reading. Towards a Gospel-Centred Church. Keeping the Main Thing the Main Thing. This blog was started by five friends who would like to see the gospel advance in Singapore (and beyond) through healthy, gospel-centred local churches that display God’s glory in the way they teach and live out the gospel. Too good to be true? 1 Eugene Low (ephesians310): A student at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Lives in DC and is a member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church. 2 Edward Sim (gummie...

John Yeo: The Brick
http://john-yeo.blogspot.com/2010/07/brick.html
Tuesday, July 06, 2010. The following story received was an encouragement during days where I felt constantly 'heated' while roving on the roads. I was 'hateful' of so many different drivers- those zooming past recklessly, those far too slow-and-steady type, the lady drivers who don't seem to give a hoot of external road conditions. I always ended feeling angry. I may only drive a humble red Honda jazz but this still serves as a timely reminder. Just what the heck are you doing? It was a long, slow walk ...

Tuesday, June 08, 2010. Its so hard to say Goodbye 2. From a very special group of fun loving yet hardworking students, the poster and the shirt were some of the most sentimental farewell gifts I received many years ago. Unfortunately, the poster needs to be taken down from my study room after all these years. Thank God for technology and how Blogs can help preserve memories. I can vaguely remember some of the topics:. Frying Chay Tow Kway. On learning about Heat Changes and. Playing with Lego bricks.

John Yeo: April 2009

Saturday, April 18, 2009. The Dragon is Thirsty. With my usual gung-ho spirit, I innocently accepted the assignment early this year to speak to different key personnels of various enterprises in Hong Kong and China. Before I left, I told Joshua and Joanna that daddy is only gonna be away for 5 very short days, yet deep down, this verbal assurance left me wondering if that was really so. Challenge is to speak fluently in Mandarin. Thank the good Lord that ACS had kept. In the Anglo- CHINESE. I was religio...

John Yeo: What has God got to do with Chicken Rice?
http://john-yeo.blogspot.com/2010/09/what-has-god-got-to-do-with-chicken.html
Monday, September 27, 2010. What has God got to do with Chicken Rice? I was talking to a close brother in Christ- Edmund Nai on prayer and I found it easy to ask him why I often felt so 'distant' from our heavenly Father. He asked me in return- "What do you teach about when someone asked you how to communicate effectively? Interesting as I could sense where he was leading me with this abstraction exercise. I listed the following:. Before we closed, Edmund invited me to close my eyes and ask-. This unusal...

John Yeo: Some private thoughts on your final paper..
http://john-yeo.blogspot.com/2010/11/some-private-thoughts-on-your-final.html
Sunday, November 14, 2010. Some private thoughts on your final paper. This tenuous thinking process strangely led to the question I asked you 2 weeks back - “What is a GREAT teacher? Sorry but yes, I wasn't convinced that your answers were a clear distinction between Good and Great. I suspect one attribute of a great teacher is one who dares take risk. I am also ashamed to say that I myself have never written a complete 18 pages NI before. D. I feel sad. I feel sad that this is the last sem I am teac...
