HST-hauled sleeper ECS, Paddington 03/09/2004. On the night of 2nd September 2004, 47811 hauling the down sleeper failed near Didcot and the 'spare' loco at OOC was used to rescue it, hence there was no 57 to haul the ECS from the UP sleeper from Padd to OOC. 43151 (leading) and 43132 back-to-back were used instead. Swindon's new platform 4. FGW's Swindon station has a new 'down' platform - platform 4. It opened on June 2. 2003 The first train to call was the 13:15 Paddington-Cardiff (so I have been told). The images on this page were taken with a Fuji Finepix A101. Click on the images for a larger (1280x960, generally 70-150k) version. An HST calls at the new platform. Some views from the 'old' platform. Some general views up and down the platform. The west end of the canopy is somewhat unfinished.

Pictures of the cameras coming when I get round to it. The 1280x960 pictures are taken using a Fuji Finepix A101. This camera can also take 20 second silent videos, 320x240, in AVI format. It handles low light well, though with a longer exposure. This combined with use of the screen rather than the viewfinder, and inexperience with the camera, has resulted in several of my indoor shots being a little blurred. Sorry! This 'camera' handles low light conditions well, though again with a longer exposure time...
