REACT4C - Data Access. Within the REACT4C project a variety of data were created, such as emission inventories, air traffic climate cost functions, and aircraft performance data. It is our intention to make them available to other non-commercial users. Download the data protocol (pdf). Sign it and send it to our project office:. Attn: Dr. Sigrun Matthes. REACT4C has successfully completed its implementation in April 2014. Final project meeting took place in 11-12 November 2013. A stakeholder seminar was organised on 20 November 2013 in Berlin, presenting achievements and discussing on implementation of results. A series of publications on scientific results is available. Successful Kick-Off Meeting in Munich. REACT4C presented during IP QUANTIFY final Meeting. On 27 January 2010 an overview presentation on REACT4C was given by Sigrun Matthes (DLR).

REACT4C - Project activities. The Collaborative Project REACT4C has successfully completed implementation of workplan in April 2014. Results have been published in a series of scientific publications, with others being under preparation. The work within the project was coordinated by DLR, Institute of Atmospheric Physics.

Despite significant progress has been made in reducing the specific emissions of aircraft, in particular CO. The absolute emissions have been increasing rapidly during the recent decades and are projected to continue to grow. Furthermore, aviation substantially impacts upon climate from non-CO. Effects such as ozone formation and methane destruction from aviation's NO. Emissions, the formation of contrails and contrail cirrus, the emission of H. Emissions or minimal climate impact has a lower priority.

Green Aircraft

REACT4C - Green Aircraft. REACT4C will perform pre-design studies for airframes and engines that are better suited for environmentally friendly flight trajectories. These airframes are denoted green aircraft. The pre-design study will go beyond the ACARE goals of reducing specific CO.
