This Blog Will Change the World. Making the world safe for Messiaen, thuribles, and realist metaphysics. Sunday, January 23, 2011. Hymnody and the media tetrad. Everything old eventually becomes new again. Marshall McLuhan, who argued that any new medium retrieves features of the distant past, would undoubtedly be pleased by the following video:. Stir up this stew,. Stir up this stew,. Stir up this stupid heart of mine.". And this, known as "the spinster's hymn":. O for a man,. O for a man,. While the hu...

graphics are off slightly everywhere: computer_help

Graphics are off slightly everywhere. Intel Core i5 CPU 750 2.67ghz x4. Windows 7 64 bit. ATI Radeon HD 4600 series(graphics card). But would that affect everything else? I mention this because under control panel - system and security adobe flash player is labeled 32bit, not 64bit which my computer is running. Under control panel - system and security - system, the information says its running a 64 bit operating system. Shrug. Any other suggestions or ideas? Post a new comment. Post a new comment.

batch renaming files: computer_help
http://computer-help.livejournal.com/1026153.html
I'm running Windows Vista. I have done the usual batch rename (select all - rename to 'filename(001)') and it's reordering my files in the order of original file name, instead of how I've placed them in the folder. I need to know if renaming files in the order placed in a folder is possible in Vista. Irregardless of original file name. Can anyone help? Please don't tell me to downgrade/upgrade/switch OS. That's not an option at this point.). Post a new comment. We will log you in after post.

This Blog Will Change the World. Making the world safe for Messiaen, thuribles, and realist metaphysics. Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Regular readers will recall my admiration. The Grant canon is not large: there are three books based on public lecture series ( Philosophy in the Mass Age. Two essay collections ( Technology and Justice. And Technology and Empire. As well as the famous Lament for a Nation. A dedication on the title page identifies it as a gift to Muggeridge and his wife from their son John, ...

This Blog Will Change the World. Making the world safe for Messiaen, thuribles, and realist metaphysics. Wednesday, August 18, 2010. The last time I wrote here was to discuss a book by a famous mid-century Anglo-Catholic liturgiologist. And, behold, I've now finished another book by a famous Anglo-Catholic liturgiologist - Andrew Burnham, the current bishop of Ebbsfleet. I had serious reservations about Percy Dearmer's Man and His Maker. This post could just about end there, couldn't it? Overall, then, B...

Sunday, May 31, 2009. Friday, May 29, 2009. Not At All Sober. I've done the unthinkable. Those bottles of wine that were left in the kitchen from the previous century . finished all of them!
