The RiverVibe Review: In the Springtime of our Stress
http://www.rivervibe.blogspot.com/2013/05/in-springtime-of-our-stress.html
A review of river gear, techniques, logistics, and other random things. honestly used. Wednesday, May 1, 2013. In the Springtime of our Stress. Spring time is a stressful time in the mountains of Colorado. We wait all winter, just skiing to pass the time, then we wait a bit more for the waters to start flowing. Then everything runs. several all at once. Who has what kind of a car for a shuttle? Do I need to have the dogs looked after while I go camp for a weekend, or can they come with me? February 2 - F...

A review of river gear, techniques, logistics, and other random things. honestly used. Sunday, April 27, 2014. Escalante Creek (4/21-22/14) Trip Report. A reproduction of my journal entry from 4/21/14:. Monday, 21 April 2014 1845. I should have gone. Tyler entering the Lower Gorge. That is certainly not a decision or feeling I enjoy and I do not want ever to live my life that way. Now, after walking down to the water for a bit and taking some photos, I do feel a bit better about not boating at all. I...

http://www.rivervibe.blogspot.com/2012_09_09_archive.html
A review of river gear, techniques, logistics, and other random things. honestly used. Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Lots of people take cameras in their kayaks down river and so I know I'm not the first to come up with their own little system for keeping it all together and dry, but I quite like what I have working now. It's simple and secure. Equal to the camera itself, the most important element is my lovely red Watershed Ocoee Drybag. Gear loop through center column. Labels: Boats and Gear.
The RiverVibe Review: 2012-07-15
http://www.rivervibe.blogspot.com/2012_07_15_archive.html
A review of river gear, techniques, logistics, and other random things. honestly used. Friday, July 20, 2012. Back in April I read an interesting article from the Matador Notebook. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Something I have struggled with from time to time is what to do with my hands on my paddle. Specifically what, if anything, to do about modifying the grip. So I went all in and conducted a $16 experiment: bike handlebar wrap. I walked down to Subculture Cyclery. Labels: Boats and Gear. April 27 - May 4.

Wednesday, March 9, 2011. In Santa Fe we stayed in this awesome vacation rental through the Las Casitas B&B. A little bit of fresh air and a ride. Some of the restaurant suggestions are listed. The Bumble Bee was a locals favorite for burritos. Orlando's had a great side of pasole, although it was two miles from the central Taos square. Bryan's choice was the Aztec Cafe. Huge sandwich with green-chili eggs and turkey sausage. Before going I asked some friends what I needed to see and subsequently got a l...

For this page and for this topic I have decided to take my gallery/blog in a slightly different direction. Think of this room as an exhibit transcending categories such as "landscape," "abstraction," etc. If you wish to read that most amazing story in full which was itself published in American Whitewater. And locally in Colorado Central. As you scroll down the page you will find the images in chronological order, but what is more important is Canyon order: upstream to downstream. Please enjoy.
