I have felt what was like a crack in the rim of the ear weeks ago but didn't. Freaked out and cried of course and was in total disbelief. I get a call from school about once every few weeks that a kid bumps his ear or Robbie bumped his ear but I never worried because these implant were to be pretty durable, RIGHT? Sunday, May 19, 2013. Molly is scheduled for her second surgery tomorrow morning at 5:30am at K&B surgery center in Beverly Hills. She is working on her last minute campaigning for us to cancel. She just doesn't want the 'icky' medicine at the very beginning before she goes in. After that she's all good. Surgery should be a little longer this time because Dr Lewin has to do a minor revision to her ear canal. Molly will also have both of her ears pierced after surgery, she's so excited.

Dr Lewin was very patient answering the same question over and over again, she is so great! Other than explaining the acoustics of sound being caught by your outer ear, my answers to Molly are. 1) You can wear sunglasses. 2) You can put your hair behind your ears. 3) You can get your ears pierced. Saturday, March 9, 2013. Bandages off all day long. The ear is still a little swollen and stiff but that's to be expected. The skin is very pink, but will start to blend in gradually. Next up is 3rd post op! Sunday, March 3, 2013. 2nd Post Op Appt. She's doing VERY well, and has really been a superstar. Her left ear is May 23rd. Don't forget to pass around the donation link. Saturday, May 21, 2011. Molly's pre-op check up has been completed, she is good to go! She was so nervous wen I pulled her out of school for this appointment, she thought it was the actual surgery. I tried to explain it to her but she was still quite apprehensive until we left. Friday, May 13, 2011.
