https://sharlarblog.wordpress.com/2015/02/20/two-years

I’m writing this today as I’ll probably forget tomorrow. It’s one of the things I’ve really noticed since my diagnosis: short-term memory loss. It is actually a known symptom of Carcinoid cancer. They don’t, of course, no why. I had the greatest nurses ever! My three year Cancerversary is quickly approaching...

This blog will chronicle my experiences dealing with Stage IV,rare, Neuroendocrine Cancer (also called Carcinoid) from my diagnosis in June 2012 until . Thursday, September 25, 2014. Mammo, Mammo, Mammogram! I was a couple of month overdue for my yearly mammogram. Guys, you may want to stop here. So I've had four "lumpectomies" over the years. The first one when I was 19! I had this done and the pathology report said it was just some abnormal cells- not e...

May 19, 2015. They are all nice — she just seems to have better follow-up. One big difference is Lanreotide is a subcutaneous injection and Sandostatin LAR is intramuscular (and trust me, it’s a BIG needle). I’ve heard that Lanreotide is like rubber cement though and takes a while to inject. So much for my short update. Let’s hear one massive THUNDERCLAP on NET Cancer Day. Mable is still my friend…. More of the Same. On Mable is still my friend…. On Mable is still my friend…. On Thoughts on Scans.

Cy Ball — Music. A Blog about Music and Cancer. Carcinoid Cancer – My Story. Lesions and Tumors and Cysts, Oh My! June 9, 2015. You may have read that a new lesion was seen on my liver a couple of weeks ago. Even though I had my first Dx (diagnosis) 4 years ago, I still have to think twice about what the medical people mean when they say lesion or tumor or cyst. The following definitions are from the Merriam Webster MedlinePlus Medical Dictionary. One that is circumscribed and well defined. It appears th...
