We are a Year 5/6 class in Tauranga,New Zealand. Friday, September 2, 2011. On the 1st and 2nd of September, Room14 went for a bike ride around the lakes for cycle safety. We focused on right, left and u-turns and straight hand signals. Thanks to the team from bike-wise for their fantastic support. What was something you learnt that you will apply to future biking? We are a Year 5/6 class in Tauranga,New Zealand. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Pedal Power - Athena. The Athena reading group have been reading Pedal Power. We are challenging each other’s understanding of the text with a question chain. What is a question chain? The teacher posts a question. First student posts a question someone from the group answers it and poses a new question. Second student answers that question and poses a third. And so forth. Questions cannot be repeated. What does a helmet do?

We are a Year 5/6 class in Tauranga,New Zealand. Saturday, June 25, 2011. Room 14 is full of individuals with unique talents. Every Friday some-one from our class shares their special talent. So far we have had singers, skate-boarders, musicians, dancers, gymnasts, model helicopter pilots and much , much more. Be patient as it takes a few seconds to load but is worth the wait! What other extra-curricula activities are you involved in - at school? Jessie - In school: choir, kapa haka, young einsteins.
