Rosie Being REAL

Saturday, August 8, 2015. So, why am I writing about this? Because it just kind of happened. I came on here to write about the difficulties I have been having with motherhood. When it came to it I was blank. All of the ideas I had floating in my head were gone. I physically couldn't write anything. There was a block. And what do I do when I have a block? I had a laptop on my lap all ready for me to type away so type away I did. I got to the end of it and I thought, "There's my blog post! I'll be sad when...

Rosie Being REAL: Showing Up and Being Seen

http://www.rosiebeingreal.blogspot.com/2015/04/showing-up-and-being-seen.html

Monday, April 27, 2015. Showing Up and Being Seen. I have come to rely heavily on a form of free writing to figure out what's going on when things are wrong, so I pulled out my journal and set to it. I realized I was feeling a form of a vulnerability hangover. The second main reason for my vulnerability hangover is teaching in church yesterday. I taught a Sunday School class and I taught Relief Society. Showing Up and Being Seen. April 27, 2015 at 7:51 PM. April 28, 2015 at 11:09 AM. And I felt His arms ...

Rosie Being REAL: Owning My Story

http://www.rosiebeingreal.blogspot.com/2015/06/owning-our-story.html

Thursday, June 18, 2015. So, I took a bit of a blog hiatus. A lot of insecurities piled up. I kind of lost a sense of what my purpose is and what the purpose of this blog is. I also got completely overwhelmed trying to juggle all of my various responsibilities. In short, life happened. But I am back! I want to share with you why I feel so compelled to be open and honest about our journey. It's kind of weird, right? A lot more people struggle with it than you think! So why open up about it? Anyways, the r...

Rosie Being REAL: August 2015

http://www.rosiebeingreal.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Thursday, August 20, 2015. Guess what I relearned this week? It's totally cool and awesome and life changing and I bet if you learned or relearned it too it could change your life as well. Yeah, it's that awesome. Okay, ready for me to be out with it? Pretty cool, huh? Because of this renewed knowledge I am going to go sew a quilt for Angel that I have been putting off because I have been letting my inadequacies get in the way. I am stoked! What are you going to do with this (re)newed knowledge? Because ...

Rosie Being REAL: Current Thoughts #1

http://www.rosiebeingreal.blogspot.com/2015/07/current-thoughts-1.html

Thursday, July 23, 2015. Jericho and Essie are actually playing nicely outside without getting into trouble. I actually got the sprinkler on watering the backyard. Yay me! I really should make sure to water more than every 2 weeks.ish. I'm really surprised we still have grass. Angel sure is a stubborn napper. I'll be sad when Angel stops growling all the time. I actually emptied and loaded the dishwasher. Yay me! Man, I sure am racking up the Drops of Awesome today! Who am I kidding? I love my kids.

The Bergendorf 's: November 2014

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 27, 2014. Jacob likes reorganizing Grandma's cupboards when we come to visit. Clarissa is 35 weeks pregnant and I'm 27 weeks. We decided to take a prego picture together while we were together since this will probably be the last time we are together before Clarissa has her baby. All in all we had a great Thanksgiving holiday with family! Thursday, November 13, 2014. Happy Birthday to ME! So I open my phone and look at the calender reminder and it says, "Happy Birthday! The road was pr...

The Bergendorf 's: July 2014

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 14, 2014. I was still feeling sick, but it was definitely manageable. Anyways back to the trip! We stayed at a RV Resort that Crystal's grandparents pretty much lived in the summer. It was way fun and relaxing. We got to go swimming everyday and play tennis (not really my cup of tea), mini golf and shuffle board. Jacob loves water and loved going swimming so much! My brother Scott had a Go-Pro with him and took some pretty awesome pictures with it. Look at that smile! The trip was a lot of f...

The Bergendorf 's: Jacob Turning 2

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2015/06/jacob-turning-2.html

Monday, June 1, 2015. I officially have a two year old! We celebrated Jacob's birthday today with family and friends. Thanks all that came! Jacob is way into tractors right now so we had a tractor themed birthday party. I think he loved it. Especially his cake. I, for the most part, let him try to do whatever he wants by himself and tells him if he wants help he can ask. I know he gets frustrated when he can't do something but practice makes perfect! It is so contagious! Jacob has been a great sleeper!

The Bergendorf 's: May 2015

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 4, 2015. Little Ida is 2 months old today! Ida hit her fist developmental jump around 5 weeks. She became much more aware of the world around her. She loves to intact with people and loves when they will sit and talk to her. She is pretty quick to smile if you are talking to her or playing pat-a-cake with her and I think I've almost gotten her to laugh! At 6 weeks we switched Ida from newborn clothes to 0-3 months. She hit Jacob's birth weight around 5 or 6 weeks which is crazy! Awesome Inc&#...

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. This is my 12 week to 18 week progression picture. As you can see I'm not much bigger. But have definitely rounded out a bit. September 30, 2014. Up 8 lbs. This really seems like a lot to me! 4 pounds in 2 weeks. Eek! Nope I can still lay on my stomach! I feel like just the past night or so I've had a hard time getting comfortable. Don't know if it's pregnancy related or I'm just going through a phase. No pain though! Wish she/he would do it more! Hurray for non throw up days!

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 24, 2015. We took Jacob rock climbing for the first time with Scott and Crystal at the climbing gym in Driggs. I think I would say it was a success! He loved it and loved falling off the wall onto the pads. :) We are excited to start this new hobby with him. So cute in Dad's hat :). Now we need to get him his own harness! Saturday, July 18, 2015. Stopped for lunch in the meadow before continuing onto the lake. I apparently didn't get the memo to wear pink with the rest of the ladies. Can't g...

The Bergendorf 's: 4 Months

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2015/07/4-months.html

Saturday, July 4, 2015. Can't get over this cuteness! Happy 4th of July! It is fun to see Ida's personality come out more. She is definitely a very content, calm baby. She is completely fine sitting in your lap watching whatever is going on around her. Not a wiggler at all. She has decided that she likes being held but definitely not cuddled! She will smile at anyone and I will still often find her smiling while sitting alone playing with her toys. I love that! So far nursing is going well. I've kind...

The Bergendorf 's: January 2015

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 20, 2015. I can't believe I only have 6 weeks left. I was worried that these past couple months would drag on so slow. But with how much I've been working it's really making them go by super fast! But we are ready for Baby Girl when she comes. I've finished getting the crib all ready and have gotten all her clothes organized and ready to go. So all we need now is a baby! 12 week to 34 week belly progression. January 20, 2015. At my 34 week appointment my midwife commented that she thinks...

The Bergendorf 's: August 2014

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 2, 2014. I mean over the top amazing. In all the 30 miles we walked in 3 days and all the time he spent in the backpack carrier he fussed, on the first day, for the first couple miles and that was it. I know that the Lord was blessing him as He also did the pioneers of old. We started our handcart journey at Martin's Cove. It was our shortest day of 4 miles and we got poured on. Everyone was completely soaked! How he slept the night before? Did I mention he also slept GREAT every night!

May 20, 2015. Mama said, "I don't want everything he wears to be blue.". Mineville Wool Project Merino Single Ply DK. Circular - 4.0 mm. I loved knitting this little pullover for Alec. The pattern was a pleasure to work - so well written that the sweater came together perfectly. Saturday, May 14, 2011. Tuesday, December 21, 2010. They've been an obsession of mine for a while now. I love these liquer bottles (most famously from bols) that are music boxes too. Good morning, 2017. 2016 seemed a year of changes and upheavals bringing dread and dismay to many of us and death to others. The times have been too interesting for my taste. New Years should start with hope though. So for its first cry and suck at the breast and the burial of its placenta, here's a poem for young 2017. The Cure at Troy. Human beings suffer,. They torture one another,. They get hurt and get hard. No poem or play or song. Can fully right a wrong. The innocent in gaols. The nature-loving a...

old blog | things fall apart, it’s scientific

October 10, 2007 at 1:31 am Posted in Uncategorized. As of tonight, I am no longer going to be writing on this blog. Why? Because I am going to be writing on two new blogs! One will be my own blog, focusing more on essay style writing here: Proximity Infatuation. I’ve moved some of my favorite posts in that ilk from this site already, which is what has taken so damned long. The other is a collaboration with Jeremy, called What Really Happened,. About that time there was an onslaught of weddings….
