On The Top Of My Mind: October 2012
http://onthetopofmymind.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
On The Top Of My Mind. A Thousand Splendid Suns- -Khaled Hosseini. A gripping tell-tale of the life and times of Afghanistan, spreading over about 30 years of its history of prosperity, Soviet invasion, Talibanisation. And the effort to revive a stable and flourishing Afghanistan. The novel is as unforgettable as `The Kite Runner’ by the same author. It is impossible not to be moved by its narrative of extreme physical and psychological violence; of continuous hope and despair. Links to this post.

On The Top Of My Mind: TEENAGE TEENACHE
http://onthetopofmymind.blogspot.com/2010/11/teenage-teenache.html
On The Top Of My Mind. My story- - Teenage Teenache. Summer vacations had started. I had to face the same old question from my teenage daughter that she had been asking for the past two years. Why don’t you let me make something in your kitchen, mom? All my friends know atleast two to three basic dishes to make. How come their mothers allow them to cook? Their mothers must be brave enough to have allowed them to enter the kitchen, I thought to myself. Cool”, I thought. So, what is going on young ladies?

On The Top Of My Mind. Nalanda Mahavihar - A Treasure unearthed! As I travel more and more, my country India, keeps surprising me. On The Top Of My Mind: Recycling invitation and Greeting Cards
http://onthetopofmymind.blogspot.com/2010/12/do-it-yourself-recycling-invitation-and.html
On The Top Of My Mind. Recycling invitation and Greeting Cards. This picture of Ganesha in the frame was the front cover of an invitation card. I carefully removed all the thin sheets attached inside it. I was left with this neat, square and thick sheet with a Ganesha embedded on it. I knew what I had to do and I just did that. I got it framed! The leftover parts and cuttings of the cards can be used to make book-marks and compliments/message cards. Labels: Do It Yourself. Thursday, 09 December, 2010.

On The Top Of My Mind. Rock Garden, Chandigarh - It Rocks! I recently made my third visit to the famous Rock Garden in Chandigarh. Every time I go, I find new additions to art pieces, but this time I observed that the garden has undergone a sea-change and become a popular amusement place for picnickers and families. A small hole in this wall(behind these visitors) is the ticket window. Artificial and real trees! Begins with a low arch entrance, just when the Phase 2 ends. The Phase I is the oldest site, ...

On The Top Of My Mind. Jabalpur City - A `badaa Gaun', as the localites call it. Or a big village! I found the people of Jabalpur simple and warm to the visitors. Or the `monkey's leap' where the rocks on the two sides are the closest and only a few feet away. The narrowest point between the rocks on two sides- `Bunder Kudani or Monkey Leap'. Statue...
