Knowing a limited amount of Italian left me believing, after I read the paragraph introducing the specimens in this section, that these were worms found within the human gastrointestinal track. I was really grossed out but most astonished that they could get so big. Then I realized I misunderstood the description which was discussing these things' digestive track.
