Truly Bohemian in Malaysia. Those who are in love with learning are in love with life. - Charles Handy. July 03, 2005. You've been in Korea too long when. Another brilliant post from Sarin Miso. 15 You have a black belt in 'paper, scissors, stone'. 14 You've had kimchi stew for breakfast, kimchi fried rice for lunch, kimchi dumplings for dinner, and yet you still reach for the kimchi side dish each time. 13 You've eaten pig's feet, ox tail, dog, silk worms or a live baby octopus. Truly Bohemian in Malaysia: Blind
http://malaysia-bohemia.blogspot.com/2005/07/blind.html
Truly Bohemian in Malaysia. Those who are in love with learning are in love with life. - Charles Handy. July 06, 2005. One thing I didn't blog about despite its significance is my recent visit to St Nicholas Home for the Blind. I greatly appreciate the meaning of putting myself in someone else's shoes and always look for such opportunities. Hence I was glad I could at last attend the programme. After that, we had a short session interacting with some severely handicapped children. Posted by Jiri @ 22:44.

Yes, with my current work responsibilities, which I didn't have when I started this project, I've found it harder to concentrate on language learning. It's got little to do with finding the time for it and everything to do with having the mental energy. My work makes it much harder to concentrate, harder to keep up my willpower. Whether it's watching a DVD, reading a web discussion page, leafing through a magazine, listening to song lyrics, or whatever - take breaks. What I find works best for me is to set an alarm to stop me after 30 minutes or so. I take a 10-minute break and my mind is noticeably refreshed. Posted by JangJones @ 17:55. Wellington, New Zealand.

Stagefright is a very similar phenomenon to the anxiety attacks that strike most people when they first try to talk to somone in a new language. On a site about overcoming stagefright (yes, I read the oddest things sometimes) I found this good advice: When you get onstage, focus on something other. Posted by JangJones @ 21:03. I'm an...
