The Cake Queen's Adventures. Sunday, 4 April 2010. Absence makes the heart grow fonder? I've not blogged for a while, despite my best intentions to do so. I do have a good excuse though. I was away on holiday and now that I am back I feel energised and very refreshed (NOT! I decided to go the the US (as always) and decided to visit the South. I chose to go to Savannah, Georgia so I can take a cake decorating class at Savannah Custom Cakes. Which is owned by the very warm, kind and generous Minette Rushing.

The temperature was comfortable when I was here in May. No problem with mosquitoes or gnats but I believe the site had been sprayed before the wedding. Parking is across the road from the church. Harping and Having Fun All Along the Coast! Saturday, September 21. Oldfield Plantation River House. On the Okatie River. The bride's entrance was made from the grand staircase to her. Requested processional music 'A Thousand Years' (Christina Perri). Beautiful location has a dock out onto the river. Good breeze blowing kept folks comfortable and bugs at bay.
