Fried Halloumi with Tomato Sauce. January 13, 2015. One of the best things about visiting home is my mom’s bread – fresh, homemade, and delicious. She makes this recipe at least once a week, freezing two of the loaves to preserve their freshness until they’re ready to be eaten. They keep pretty well for a week or so in the freezer, probably longer. Great as toast or for sandwiches, this is a nice flexible recipe. Yumprint-recipe id=’13’]Yum! Tagged with →. Bull; How to. On not getting grants or gigs. February 7, 2015. Middot; Add Comment. This Lemon Winter Warmer recipe is based on a drink that I’d been making for a while, but then altered once I tried the ‘Citrus Booster’ that they serve at Balzac’s Coffee. There’s a Balzac’s near my office in the Distillery District. I originally made it with honey, but I like the flavour of the maple syrup much better. Don’t even dream of using that weird fake table syrup garbage – real maple syrup only! Tagged with →. Bull; vitamin c.

Since my primary creative outlet is booking music, I thought it would be nice to celebrate that here. Over the past decade, there’s really only been a year or so that I haven’t been actively booking music, and I found that year really dissatisfying and stifling. That’s why I recently incorporated my small company, Secret Frequency. The Fox and The Moon.

Theatre and Film Work. On not getting grants or gigs. July 30, 2015. Middot; Add Comment. The work I do means saying “No” a lot more than “Yes.” Whether I’m working as a booker or jurying a grant or award, the ability to say no clearly, politely, and unequivocally is one of the most valuable skills I’ve developed.
