Amid Life: Don't judge a book by its cover...
http://amidlifeandsuch.blogspot.com/2011/12/dont-judge-book-by-its-cover.html
Saturday, December 3, 2011. Don't judge a book by its cover. Don’t know me. As open as I am there’s a lot I really do keep private. This is partially because it’s no one's business but my own, partially because I have spent so many years justifying and, partially because I don’t want to impose my troubles on others. For these reasons it’s not fair to make accusations and assumptions. I blew my hair dry and put on some make up. In lieu of my usual uniform of jeans, boots and a pretty blouse, I donned ...

Friday, November 2, 2012. I wanted to share this card I made. I got the skates stamp on clearance at Hobby Lobby a while back and was excited to finally use it. I stamped the skates on white paper and colored the boot with brown crayon (it's what I had) and the blades with grey crayon. I was after an antique skate look which I think I achieved after I sponged the edge of the skates with Early Espresso ink. I used Cherry Cobbler baker's twine to give the illusion of the skates hanging. SSSC294 - Be Merry.

http://bytheshoredesigns.blogspot.com/2012/10/im-joining-paper-players-again-this.html
Thursday, October 18, 2012. I'm joining the Paper Players again this week for Jaydee's Color Challenge. I'll admit this really was a challenge for me. I am not a fan of burgundy and don't use it much. I found a piece of it to work into the card but I'm thinking it might actually be Rich Razzleberry - I hope it's close enough since I'm just using it as an accent. I was happy to be able to use the linen thread on this card. It compliments the colors nicely, I think. Head over to the Paper Players. Simple t...

Friday, October 19, 2012. It's only the middle of October but for anyone who makes Christmas gifts, it's time to open the workshop and get moving. I've started on gift tags already and am loving the finished product as well as the process of making and designing them. And being as frugal as I am, I find this to be a great way to use up all those little scraps of paper I've been keeping. A few more shots of what I've been working on:. What are you making for Christmas this year? SSSC294 - Be Merry.
