Keeping myself together one stitch at a time. Friday, September 18, 2015. Fall Planning and Humble Pie. A few weeks back McCalls posted a blog about designer sewing, they also posted excellent work by Amanda. Did on Donna Karan V1440 Tunic. In the comments I mentioned that it is hard for me to find designer patterns that flatter my plus size shape. This is true, especially with the Summer patterns, however I must make a retraction. I have found several Fall patterns that are potentially flattering:.

Keeping myself together one stitch at a time. Thursday, September 15, 2016. Variations on a Theme M7160. When I first saw this pattern I liked the simplicity of the design. I reasoned it could be made several times and each dress would still remain unique. Because of the pattern in the fabric I tried to match the bodice in a manner that would be symmetrical. As you can see in this pic:. The dress is very comfortable, wrinkle resistant, and has pockets! Cute and quick, what more could you ask? The yellow ...

Keeping myself together one stitch at a time. Sunday, January 10, 2016. 40's Old Style Swing , Butterick 6065. I finally was able to bring this dress to life:. What I love about the dress is the pockets :-). The process was simple enough, I simply made small dots where the pocket should lay and topstitched the pocket in place. True this pattern came out in 1950, however the collar design came out 1947-48, so I thought I would get away with it for the party. Until next time, one stitch at a time. New Spon...
