A Little About Me. Sewing, craftiness, baking… and a bit about me. May 3, 2012. The Month of May. 🙂 It will be fun though, I’m sure! Matt finished up the laminate flooring last week, and it looks AWESOME in here! Before, the carpet and linoleum lined up exactly with were the two trailers would have been joined together (we live in a double-wide trailer, in a community that is not a trailer park! So yay for home-ownership, and yay for property tax? It still looks great though! Now I just need to decorate!

Adventures in Sewing: I'm Back
http://asewingmachine.blogspot.com/2008/11/im-back.html
A journal of my sewing projects and a how-to guide for how I did it. Monday, November 3, 2008. It has been WAY to long since the last time that I posted anything. I am ready to get back in the sewing spirit and there is no better time then the holidays! Plus, now is the perfect time to make myself some holiday clothes. No, I am not talking about sweaters with snowmen on them. I am talking about a beautiful dress, a skirt, a nice blouse. I want something I can wear to a party and look hot in. I have to say.

It was wonderful! 160;My husband and I are also photographers and had a great time at the Redwoods and the coast. www.legacyddp.com . Thursday, July 3, 2008. All in all, I learned that it is easier to make kids clothes because 1) they don't care what they look like when you are done, 2) if you screw up, it is less fabric wasted, 3) you can mak...

Of Dropped Stitches and Super Heroics: April 2013

Of Dropped Stitches and Super Heroics. The life and loves of a geek girl: comics, crafts and costumes. Saturday, 13 April 2013. That's All She Wrote . For now, anyway. Tomorrow we leave for Belfast to get hitched good and proper. After seemingly endless trips to the mechanic, and quite a bit of money paid out, our car is up and running, which is a relief. Today will be spent packing her, which, for some reason, is the bit I love. It's like tetris with suitcases. I couldn't help it! See you all then!

Of Dropped Stitches and Super Heroics. The life and loves of a geek girl: comics, crafts and costumes. Sunday, 23 June 2013. In Which I Shamelessly Plug My New Blog. It's been pretty hectic round these parts recently! I haven't done much clothes sewing, because I've been working like a mad thing on items for my Etsy store. I also moved the store blog over from Wordpress (which I could never get to grips with) to the lovely Blogger, and already I'm enjoying it tons more! Which will end tonight. From Sense...

Of Dropped Stitches and Super Heroics: In Which I Obey The Spirit If Not The Letter
http://ofdroppedstitches.blogspot.com/2013/10/in-which-i-obey-spirit-if-not-letter.html
Of Dropped Stitches and Super Heroics. The life and loves of a geek girl: comics, crafts and costumes. Tuesday, 15 October 2013. In Which I Obey The Spirit If Not The Letter. I'm not usually one for adjusting patterns too dramatically. I trust completely in the designer, have no faith in my own judgement, and always do what the pattern tells me to. So, a few months back I bought the Gathered Sundress. Muslin in my trusty polka dot cotton, and hated it! And gathered cotton at the tummy? This dress is a pa...

Of Dropped Stitches and Super Heroics: August 2013

Of Dropped Stitches and Super Heroics. The life and loves of a geek girl: comics, crafts and costumes. Friday, 9 August 2013. In Which I Put Three Year Old Fabric To Good Use At Last. Once upon a time, I received a shiny new sewing machine for Christmas. Being so green, I decided to buy some cheap fabric to practice on, and so snapped up a 7 metre remnant of surprisingly good quality polka dot cotton for £7.00. Three years later*, and I have used this cotton for everything. I didn't go for any particular...
