Diane White's Creative Muse: FALL COLOR TWO
http://dianehwhite.blogspot.com/2009/02/fall-color-two.html
Diane White's Creative Muse. Paintings in Oil and Encaustics. Sunday, February 8, 2009. This was a fun piece to do. My paint was just a little too juicy to get much separation in my strokes. I think I need to experiment with letting my painting set up a little more before building up the strokes. Just love these little panels to loosen up on! February 9, 2009 at 8:41 AM. Nancy B. Diane White's Creative Muse. Paintings in Oil and Encaustics. Thursday, March 5, 2009. Carbondale Red Rocks 10X10. I am not sure if the color on this came out true or not but it is close. Might have to take it again tomorrow. I did this piece from a photograph I had taken a few years ago in Colorado. Makes me want to head that way again! 160;This was a fun piece to do as I got to play with my direction of strokes and get lost in the wonderful colors. . Nancy B. Hartley. March 5, 2009 at 10:52 PM.

Wow - they must look absolutely stunning in person, with the wax on the side - good luck - they look good! Nancy B. Hartley. November 2, 2010 at 6:11 PM. Oh, Diane, so nice to see these wonderful little gems! I bets they are even better in real life with the carved surface, and all the texture that you describe! This one is wonderful!

Diane White's Creative Muse: More of Texas Hill Country Willow Loop
http://dianehwhite.blogspot.com/2010/06/more-of-texas-hill-country-willow-loop.html
Diane White's Creative Muse. Paintings in Oil and Encaustics. Tuesday, June 1, 2010. More of Texas Hill Country Willow Loop. After taking many photos while touring the Texas Hill Country this spring, I have yet exhausted myself of painting versions of this photo. It could not get more inspiring than this unless I was there in person again and then I would probably just be too in awe to paint it! So I have taken away many memories and hope to revisit again next spring. Willow Loop 1 6x6 oil on panel.

You certainly got a lot of depth with this one, and maybe scraping is the way to go. I only have one NM visit to draw memories, from, but this painting did ring a bell! Diane White's Creative Muse. Paintings in Oil and Encaustics. Monday, February 9, 2009. This is a 12x6 oil that was inspired by a dear friends photograph from her trip to Scotland. The photo was taken around West Kilbride. I have been studying my Van Gogh books to emulate his wonderful strokes of wheat. I hope to do more of this series also, so check back for some more Van Gogh inspirations. . February 11, 2009 at 7:02 PM. You do very beautiful work! February 12, 2009 at 11:59 AM.
