Expressing my views in my own ways. Saturday, October 13, 2012. The evolution of human wildlife conflict scenario: My own perspective. High tolerance level has been closely associated with Bhutanese since time immemorial. I personally heard and came across many people from all sections of society, young and old, illiterate and literate, ignorant and learned, poor and rich and so on…often chanting the word ‘ jampa and Nyingye. Or is it a monetary magnet that is constantly repelling the local deity stigma&...

Expressing my views in my own ways............: Bomb blast at Mahabodhi temple........For good or bad?
http://sonofura.blogspot.com/2013/07/bomb-blast-at-mahabodhi-templefor-good.html
Expressing my views in my own ways. Sunday, July 7, 2013. Bomb blast at Mahabodhi temple. For good or bad? It would have been full of surprise, shock and disbelief. Decision was final that time and I suppose that it was a heavenly and karmic decision. July 2013 marked the day of reminder of princely Buddha. To me I feel that Buddha doesn’t belong to the Buddhist world only, but to the universe. Therefore, why a blast at the site where he attained enlightenment? Why do we blame Naxalites and terrorists?

Tshewang's Green Thoughts : Airport final - my first final at Paro
http://tshewangrinchen.blogspot.com/2012/07/airport-final-my-first-final-at-paro.html
Monday, July 09, 2012. Airport final - my first final at Paro. After nearly two hours of play, the whistle was blown and scores were 3-1 in our favor. Mild hand shakes, wading-like walks and glint of smile on faces are usual ambiance after every final in football field and so is ours. Everybody on winners side seems relieved and easy and on the other hand, smiles with even greater reasons are seen on the other team members. Hoping to have more of such events at Drukair. August 2014 – Thoughts of the moment!

Thoughts of the moment! A fine WordPress.com site. The exodus of educationists. Is something wrong in the teaching profession? This is one pertinent question that deserves some deep reckonings, considering the exodus of educationists from this profession. Whatever may be the reasons, an increasing number of people are opting to find a way out from this profession. While some have left for greener pasture, it seems some are impatiently waiting for that golden opportunity to bid adieu. Take for instance, t...

November 2013 – Thoughts of the moment!
https://namkhainorbu.wordpress.com/2013/11
Thoughts of the moment! A fine WordPress.com site. Contrary to ground realities, Bhutan has done better on the business front if the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ report published by World Bank last week is any indication. The country’s rank moved up from 148 to 141 this year out of 189 countries. This is definitely a good indication as it exhibits the country’s seriousness over curtailing red-tape or bureaucratic rigmarole on the business front. These will definitely be new challenges and tough decisions we ...

Thoughts of the moment! A fine WordPress.com site. The sidekick of youth issue. Few days back a foreigner took to social media platform, Twitter, tweeting: Sad. Travel operator suggests you avoid tussles with the [Bhutanese] younger, raucous boys if you don’t want to get into trouble. Is this what the image of our youth has become? The youth that we pride in so much that they would be the torchbearers of our future and the reverence that the future of our nation lies in their hands. The point here is not...

Women & politics – Thoughts of the moment!
https://namkhainorbu.wordpress.com/2014/10/23/women-politics
Thoughts of the moment! A fine WordPress.com site. October 23, 2014. It’s just not easy for women to get into politics. At least this is what many of the surveys and studies have been indicating so. This predicament is further espoused by the report on the situation of low representation of women in elective offices that Election Commission of Bhutan (ECB) released last week. It was timely and befitting too as we continue with our efforts to augment women’s representation in politics. Firstly, gender ste...
