Minky Knits: Where in the world...?
http://minkyknits.blogspot.com/2013/04/where-in-world.html
April 17, 2013. Where in the world? It seems that I have been away for more than a year. Let's see, what did I do in the last year? I travelled a lot with Japan and Antarctica being this year's highlights. I did a lot of crafty things at Gather Here like sewn garments, patchwork home accessories, cabled fingerless mitts using crochet, and sashiko. I did some knitting. No, really, I am more than halfway through my 2012 New Beginnings project from the KR retreat. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Knitting RN: Wedding Veil
http://knittingrn.blogspot.com/2009/05/wedding-veil.html
I'm a 29 year old RN who works in an ICU in Seattle. Monday, May 04, 2009. I know I didn't update much on this project. That's for a few reasons. First, really how interesting is lace when it's unblocked? And second, I got really really sick in between when I started and the end of the project. That's a whole 'nother story for another time, though. Let's celebrate the finishing of the shawl! All of these photographs are from my wedding photographer, Kate McElwee. And the edging was worth it in the end!

My House of Wool: April 2008
http://houseofwool.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
My House of Wool. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Monkey on my back. So, here, Chez Wool, we are running a little behind schedule. Just a bit. Honestly. Monday night, Caleb and I finally had a moment to sit down and perform that perennial rite of spring, dyeing Easter eggs. Nothing like being a month behind the times to put oneself back in the running for America's Crappiest Mother of the Year Award. All was well and good. We dyed eggs in single colors, we dyed eggs in multiple colors, we used the. Luckily, I...

Lisa Kay Knits: Nanook
http://lisakayknits.blogspot.com/2015/03/nanook.html
Sunday, March 8, 2015. By Heidi Kirrmaier, a couple of weeks ago, and I have been waiting for a day with enough light to take pictures. I modified the pattern with the pattern edging at the bottom of the back and sleeves. ribbed in the pattern. Since the pattern edging, intended only for the collar of this top-down sweater, is directional (knitted starting at the edge, going inward), I had to work the cuff and hem first, and then graft to the sleeves and body. The yarn is Hedgehog Fibres. Ruby Slippers S...

Lisa Kay Knits: Elina
http://lisakayknits.blogspot.com/2015/01/elina.html
Monday, January 19, 2015. For the new year, I took a project out of "hibernation" and finished it. "Elina" has been put away for about three years. I blogged its progress in January 2012. I had the body done, so I just needed to makes the sleeves and assemble it. There is also an edging around the fronts and neck. I've pulled out another unfinished object, so there may be another sweater popping out in record time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Knitting, Yarn, and Fiber Resources. Bobble Cardigan (...

Lisa Kay Knits: Chris' Christmas Sweater
http://lisakayknits.blogspot.com/2014/12/chris-christmas-sweater.html
Friday, December 26, 2014. I wanted to make Chris another sweater for Christmas. I have only made him one, " Devon. Back in 2011. Chris likes the way that one fits (a bit over-sized), and so I used the same pattern. adjusted for a much smaller gauge and not including the cables. I also made the sleeves a bit shorter, so he wouldn't have to fold them back. I guess he likes it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Knitting, Yarn, and Fiber Resources.
