A blog by Ashleigh Young. A burning wreck. A THICK SKIN (part 1) →. June 3, 2015. Maybe the place where his mum has gone, he said to Neil, is like the dimension in Minecraft. She has got lost, got stuck. When I walked through Brixton the morning after I landed, on my way to Neil’s, through the morning rush to the tube, nearly every face I saw was squinting, grimacing, into bright grey sunlight, pressing forwards. Miki Szikszai: Why would Telecom NZ launch an 850 MHz UMTS network?
http://szikszai.blogspot.com/2008/08/why-would-telecom-nz-launch-850-mhz.html
Thursday, August 07, 2008. Why would Telecom NZ launch an 850 MHz UMTS network? Mauricio posted this rumour. Earlier today that Telecom. Is looking at UMTS at 850 MHz on a nationwide basis. I have no idea if this is true or not but I thought I'd assess it in advance on the off-chance it is true. In the end, it does not matter about differentiating on features and services if you haven't got three basics at the same level as the rest of the market. In order, they are. 1 Coverage (Where can I use it? 1 Cov...

Miki Szikszai: May 2009
http://szikszai.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 19, 2009. I'm thinking that its Option A. I commented on the appointment process. For the Programme Manager for the Government's Broadband programme a month or so ago. I'm pleased to see Ralph Chivers appointed to the role. Ralph has huge experience - I hired him into Telecom. TCF has made good progress under his leadership. I hope he can leave some of the bureaucrats behind and really drive a solution forward for NZ. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Miki Szikszai: Obama, the hype cycle and fish
http://szikszai.blogspot.com/2008/11/obama-hype-cycle-and-fish.html
Wednesday, November 05, 2008. Obama, the hype cycle and fish. Along with a few billion of my fellow earthlings I've been following the election in the US today. You gotta like the. Acceptance speech of Obama. Hardly referred to himself, but primarily to his call for change. Masterful. This quote is the one I liked most. . This victory alone is not the change we seek. It is only the chance for us to make that change. And that cannot happen if we go back to the way things were. CEO Subscribe to my RSS feed.

Miki Szikszai: October 2008
http://szikszai.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2008. Christmas comes a year early for Telecom. Unfortunately it's not good news.Christmas offers for 2008 arrived in 2007. Handsets offered for this Christmas are pretty much the same as last Christmas. It really seems as though bridges were burned with CDMA handset suppliers - nothing of note to be offered this year at all. 160;This will be very easy for Vodafone to trump should they choose to. Sadly I pick about about 4-5% market share loss between now and T-Day. My view is that ...

You can’t have one without the other (or at least you shouldn’t). August 13, 2012. August 13, 2012. It’s funny where you find inspiration and your “aha moments”. I just found one thanks to my Facebook friend, Simon Young. He posted this image to his Facebook page just moments ago. It struck me first as amusing so I chuckled. But after some pondering, I thought,. Having both really is the secret to achieving great things.”. Over to you now – Questions of the day:. What action can you take today toward it?

Miki Szikszai: How to spend $1.5 Billion
http://szikszai.blogspot.com/2008/11/how-to-spend-15-billion.html
Thursday, November 13, 2008. How to spend $1.5 Billion. Did a brief bit of commentary on TV3. Yesterday on what the incoming National Government might do with the $1.5 B they want to invest to deliver super-fast broadband. Apparently I am too serious - I think this might the first time anyone has ever suggested this! I wrote some notes while I was thinking about this, and am becoming to be more convinced that a quite different approach needs to be taken to work out what to do. In my view the main problem...

Miki Szikszai: December 2008
http://szikszai.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 09, 2008. It's old news now, but I have been thinking about why Vodafone has been running its high risk campaign about it's 3G network that has led to Telecom launching its Commerce Commission action. If you've missed it, here's the background. Vodafone's Christmas campaign is all about coverage this year with a tag line of 'NZ's largest and fastest 3G network*' with the asterisk linking to a disclaimer that this is 3G based on W-CDMA coverage. Taking place on Geekzone. A EVDO is 3G; and.
