http://annaleahsangle.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Life through my eyes. Tuesday, December 23, 2014. We've been filling this season with simple, fun Christmas activities. We have a number of things that have now become traditions in our family, and it's so fun to know that these are creating memories for our children. Some of the highlights from this year:. Cuddling up and watching Christmas movies - of course! This year a nearby town had a Christmas trolley with free rides around town - so fun! Like making and decorating and eating cookies. Simple templ...

Annaleah's Angle: May 2015
http://annaleahsangle.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Life through my eyes. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. We have had such a beautiful spring - the warmest and sunniest that I can remember! Easter Sunday was gorgeous, and the older the kids get, the more excited they get about Easter Egg hunts! Good thing they get to do several of them! We have spent a lot of time outside - I've been busy with some projects, and the kids love playing in the yard. Toby is really into bugs right now, and he loves nothing better than to find a worm while I'm digging! I live in the ...

Annaleah's Angle: July 2014
http://annaleahsangle.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Life through my eyes. Friday, July 25, 2014. My (Unschooling) Kindergarten Plans. To learn. When I think of myself as a "teacher" I get overwhelmed and feel inadequate. But helping my kids learn, and learning beside them? I can do that. And really, I don't think "kindergarten" is essential. A lot of other countries don't start formal schooling at age 5, and personally I think that's a good idea. Kids have so many years of school ahead of them, why not let them just be kids as long as possible? I feel so ...

Annaleah's Angle: Enjoying These Days
http://annaleahsangle.blogspot.com/2015/03/enjoying-these-days.html
Life through my eyes. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Two months after a new baby is born always seems to be the point at which we reach our new normal. By then, the baby is sleeping through the night, I've gotten a pretty good daily feeding routine down, and we've all adjusted to the new family member. I feel like we're there a little early this time - Simon has been sleeping through the night since 6 weeks (the earliest yet! Everyone wants to snuggle with Simon at bedtime - so they've been taking turns! Seth a...

Annaleah's Angle: The 4-Year Coat
http://annaleahsangle.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-4-year-coat.html
Life through my eyes. Friday, March 27, 2015. Winter coats usually seem to last our children two years, which is great since it saves money and storage space. But I have a special fondness for Joanna's coat, which I just realized she has been wearing for four winters now! How does a coat fit a growing child for four years? I'm not really sure, but I'm not complaining! That first year it was a little long, and we had to roll the sleeves up, but it worked great! Last year it fit her perfectly! I am a full-...

The older kids each named one of them. =). The food and water dishes use mason jars! Having chickens is so exciting to me! I have wanted to get some for a long time, and we are having lots of fun with them! We got our chicks at about two weeks old, and they are absolutely adorable! The chickens love to sit on top of the jars.

Annaleah's Angle: March 2014
http://annaleahsangle.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Life through my eyes. Saturday, March 15, 2014. The Days are Short. People say that when you have little kids "the days are long, but the years are short". Sometimes I agree with that, but mostly I just think the days are short, too. Time just flies by - I can't believe we are already almost a quarter of the way into the "new" year. Here's a peek at what we've been up to in the last month:. This little lady turned FOUR on Valentine's Day. It is such a joy to have a little girl! Not surprising, it makes f...
