30-Day Meme | Sitting Pond-Side, Waiting for Enlightenment
https://sittingpondside.wordpress.com/2011/05/29/30-day-meme
Sitting Pond-Side, Waiting for Enlightenment. A patient journey through yoga, books, and food. A little bit off the beaten track, but I was given a 30-day meme that I wouldn’t mind trying. Never fear, I will still post about yoga, food, and books; I actually have a few entries tucked in my back pocket. I just haven’t had a chance to blog about them yet. Day 1: Five Ways to Win My Heart. Up with a PhD and I might just be begging you with my eyes to look at me. Lunch and coffee for two. May 30, 2011.

Sitting Pond-Side, Waiting for Enlightenment. A patient journey through yoga, books, and food. Judgey wudgey was a bear. A common reminder and philosophy in yoga is this idea of adopting a non-judgemental attitude. If you can’t touch your toes, don’t judge yourself. If you can’t push up into wheel, don’t judge yourself. If you can’t wrap your legs behind your head while balancing on one finger, don’t judge yourself. 8220;You used to be good at this and now you’ve let yourself go.”. There’s no point...

Sitting Pond-Side, Waiting for Enlightenment. A patient journey through yoga, books, and food. Early morning risers and optimizers. Normally, a detail like that wouldn’t even faze me. But with the past couple of summers whistling by , I have another, new found determination to not let the summer escape. So, I’ve decided to try yoga in the morning. Early in the morning. Like, 6 am. But I’ve been doing it! Which has a full multi-vitamin, your daily intake of protein, fibre, pro-biotics, and other fun thing...

Sitting Pond-Side, Waiting for Enlightenment. A patient journey through yoga, books, and food. Lunch and coffee for two. I also have another goal that I’m loosely holding to, which involves trying out at least one new restaurant a month. I subscribe to emails from Vitamin Daily. In most editions, the email is good about listing a few new restaurants in the Vancouver area that are worthy of trying. My eye caught Meat and Bread. 8220;What do you feel like? 8220;Ohhhh, yeah! Was on the side for dipping.

Random reviews, hauls, thoughts, and tales of my life in Vancouver. Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Frosted malts: my never ending quest. And no. I don't mean A Frosty from Wendy's, but the kind I used to get from Willie Woozle back in the day. Thick, chocolatey, with a slight gritty, malty bite to it and of course, always served in a styrofoam cup to keep it cold. Oh how I miss those days. This is the best picture of a frosted malt I could find! I was so excited! So I have been on a quest to find that hidden jew...

Random reviews, hauls, thoughts, and tales of my life in Vancouver. Sunday, March 3, 2013. Osaka: Day 9 (February 28, 2013). Sorry this posting is a couple of days late, but our last 2 days in Japan were a little hectic. A scale model of the building. One of Calvin's many, many shots. Once Calvin was done, we took a little break and had a mango drink before heading back down. And once you leave the 39th floor, you are not allowed to re-enter. There goes my 700 yen entrance fee. The rest of the day was ki...

Random reviews, hauls, thoughts, and tales of my life in Vancouver. Friday, April 26, 2013. Cho Sun BBQ: A Restaurant Review. I decided to get back into the swing of things and start reviewing restaurants I've been to. Whether I take the time to actually sit down and type out the review is a whole other story. For the most part. My main reason for wanting to eat here? What does good tamago look like? I am not too sure, but this looks alright. These side dishes are usually served prior to getting your mai...

Random reviews, hauls, thoughts, and tales of my life in Vancouver. Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Osaka: Day 8 (February 27, 2013). Busy, busy day. Today was our last day in Kyoto and while yesterday was a bit of a bust for sightseeing, Calvin and I were determined to go to some tourists spots today. Well one tourist spot at least, and the lucky winner was the Kitasaga Bamboo Grove! Cute statues on the way to the bamboo grove. Bamboooo. is there a panda in there somewhere? The lunch set that I chose.

Random reviews, hauls, thoughts, and tales of my life in Vancouver. Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Osaka: Last Day - Final Thoughts and Reflections. It's been a week and a half since we came back from our trip and finally I have a chance to blog about our last day in Japan. Either Jacob's not looking at the camera. Or we're (well I'm) not looking :P. Thankfully, we survived the flight home without too many hiccups. I would say that Jacob actually doesn't mind flying, as long as he can get some good rest.

Random reviews, hauls, thoughts, and tales of my life in Vancouver. Monday, February 25, 2013. Osaka: Day 6 (February 25, 2013). Another change in the itinerary for today. While I like having a plan, I think I can be pretty flexible when it comes to changes (maybe). Besides, I'm on vacation, right? I should be more relaxed and easy going ;). Today we were supposed to go to Kobe, but it didn't seem like there would be much to see there, so we decided to go to Nara instead. Nara is a small town (? Calvin b...

Calvin has been dreaming about these donuts for a long time and was highly anticipating being able to eat one again. Apparently somebody else wanted a donut too ;). Finally some success finding Korean makeup products! Of course I had to buy a few things ;). I'm such a sucker for cute packaging! I want some Pocky, Glico man! My first course had 3 different dishes. I got a de...

Random reviews, hauls, thoughts, and tales of my life in Vancouver. Friday, January 20, 2012. Been a long while. Sorry for the lack of posts (but really, who's reading my blog anyway? Quite frankly, I lost interest in writing and occupied my free time with other things, although my dear husband would make a point to remind me once in a while that he would like me keep up my blog. So stay tuned for updates on what's been going the past few months and hopefully I can stay inspired to keep on writing :).

Everyone plays on the same field of life with each person having their own different and unique capabilities. So why call anyone disabled, handicapped or wheelchair bound? Why not use inclusive and positive terms like.
