Non-Profit Marketing Blog: June 2009
http://npmarketingblog.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 1, 2009. Welcome to a Different Kind of Non-Profit Marketing Blog! Thank you for tuning in to my blog! The goal of my blog is not to highlight my expertise or drive traffic to a consulting services website. My goal here is merely to help others trying to make the transition from corporate to non-profit marketing. This blog is about helping you realize how what you already know relates to the non-profit sector. It's not about me. It is about you! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lu is responsible ...

Non-Profit Marketing Blog: Well, they are at it again!
http://npmarketingblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/well-they-are-at-it-again.html
Monday, August 16, 2010. Well, they are at it again! However, their presentation is lacking from a marketing perspective. Rarely do they use scientific data; often they speak from a perspective of their own feelings; and they present themselves as the saviors of non-profit brands, claiming that we all need their help marketing our causes. At the same time they are charging up to $30 for a whitepaper, $200 for a webinar and $400 for a workshop. Really? I am not going to speculate on their agenda, but I do...

Non-Profit Marketing Blog: Part I: Learning the Hard Lesson
http://npmarketingblog.blogspot.com/2009/05/part-i-learning-hard-lesson.html
Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Part I: Learning the Hard Lesson. I'm not going to start this blog with a long sob story about how I got duped by non-profit marketing hype that didn't pan out. Instead, I'm going to tell you the story of when it really hit me that NP Marketing is new enough and popular enough to be a mine field of untested experts followed by unwitting, often duped as I was, students. If you are working in non-profit marketing, you probably already have some education, experience or training in ...

Non-Profit Marketing Blog: September 2010
http://npmarketingblog.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 5, 2010. I just can't help myself. I tried to resist, but I can't. I have to blog about Hurricane Earl. I know, a non-event, right? Well, not really. Thankfully, Hurricane Earl passed just offshore, 50-100 miles or so, depending on where you were. He was downgraded to TS Earl before making landfall, and for this I am very grateful. We appreciate the visit, the challenge, and the opportunity to practice. But most of all, we appreciate that you didn't wear out your welcome. :). Simple tem...

Non-Profit Marketing Blog: Part II: Examining the Credibility of Non-Profit Marketing "Experts"
http://npmarketingblog.blogspot.com/2009/05/part-ii-examining-credibility-of-non.html
Saturday, August 1, 2009. Part II: Examining the Credibility of Non-Profit Marketing "Experts". The second case study, and my personal favorite, Katya's Non-Profit Marketing Blog, is quite a different story. The author, Katya Andresen, includes an About section with a link to her official online bio, on the website of Network for Good, where she is Chief Operations Officer. She has been working in and training organizations in non-profit marketing, not just PR, for years. A few good examples:. These are ...

Non-Profit Marketing Blog: The Humanitarian Conversion Funnel
http://npmarketingblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/humanitarian-convesion-funnel.html
Sunday, August 22, 2010. The Humanitarian Conversion Funnel. I am working on a theory, again. My love for online channels, combined with my obsession for connecting all the P's in the marketing mix, keeps pulling me toward the mystery: what is the ideal online conversion funnel for humanitarian service? Not at all surprising, I think the answer lies in what the donor wants. As it should always be. Http:/ www.cygresearch.com/pb/? Testing is the key to getting this right. We are taking the things that we k...

So cheers to all of you fundraisers, communicators and non-profit marketers for the great work you are doing and the wonderful causes that you represent. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
