The Southpaw Stitcher: May 2015

http://southpawstitcher.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

I love it all: embroidery, canvaswork, quilting, crochet. So much to do, so little time. Sunday, May 10, 2015. May Turtle Trot (and Nashville). It's Turtle Trot time once again! If you're just joining us, Turtle Trot is a Stitch Along. All the participants posted ten projects to work on in January, and through the year we show our progress, or lack thereof, on the tenth of each month. It's a small (pop. 1,084) town full of gift shops, galleries, restaurants and southern Indiana charm. There's an old, som...

I love it all: embroidery, canvaswork, quilting, crochet. So much to do, so little time. Thursday, June 18, 2015. Hey Blog Buddies,. It appears that the Turtle Trot SAL has sadly fizzled out, but since my TT projects are all a part of my so-called rotation, even if some don't rotate too regularly, you will continue to see them on this blog. The turtle has left the building. I have four progress reports to show you. Since last month's update. First, we have Plum Street Samplers' Liberty Inn. Here it is now.

I love it all: embroidery, canvaswork, quilting, crochet. So much to do, so little time. Friday, November 21, 2014. Lloyd and Lola are Done. No, not as a couple. (smile) I named my wolves, so why not the lovebirds! I've kept up with the lessons in my cyberclass, so now my blackwork lovebirds are finished. Tanja Berlin's Just the Two of Us. I really, really like them. This was billed as a beginning blackwork class,. But there were a lot of challenges along the way:. The heads are a dense layering of.

I love it all: embroidery, canvaswork, quilting, crochet. So much to do, so little time. Friday, September 26, 2014. Hey Blog Buddies,. How's your day going? Just thought I'd pop in to give you a peek at the blackwork class I'm taking. It's my first ever cyberclass, and I'm enjoying it very much. There are two weeks between each class, and if the first class is any indication, the lesson can easily be completed within that time frame. The piece is designed and taught by Tanja Berlin. That's it for now.

The Southpaw Stitcher: December 2014

http://southpawstitcher.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

I love it all: embroidery, canvaswork, quilting, crochet. So much to do, so little time. Sunday, December 21, 2014. Hey Blog Buddies,. How's your weekend going? Ours has been cloudy and gray, much like the last few weeks, but I'm not complaining because: no snow (yet). We know it's just a matter of time. I've been stitching Christmas ornaments recently, some for exchanges and some for myself, and wanted to show them before the New Year. This is a cute little spool ornament. Which I made as a gift. I have...

An ongoing tale of my stitching obsession. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Last weekend was one busy weekend! We decided to go to for a day trip which coincidentally happened to be where my LNS is. so, of course I stopped in. I picked out a counted canvas pattern called Tiptoe Through the Tulips and all of the stuff I needed for it. I love doing these needlepoint designs, but my oh my the supplies for them add up quickly. Karen's Colourful Creations: Catch up

http://www.karenscolorfulcreations.com/2015/04/catch-up.html

An ongoing tale of my stitching obsession. Thursday, April 23, 2015. It's been awhile, I know. I have been severely neglecting my blog and for the most part stitching in general. Recently, I picked up a small little ornament that I was working on before Christmas and I enjoyed placing the simple Xs on this simple little design and it's all sort of snowballed since then. I've finished this cute little Prairie Schooler design a couple of weeks ago. Just Cross Stitch Christmas Issue 2010. The leaves are act...

An ongoing tale of my stitching obsession. Thursday, August 27, 2015. A little of this . and a little of that. This summer is just flying by. It's hard to believe it's August already and it seems too soon for leaves to be changing colour, but I found some this morning! The weather this past week has been absolutely dreadfully hot hot hot. Blue Jay in the bird bath re-purposed as a bird feeder. Squirrelly - I think I have a dozen of these little guys running around. I've also worked on Summer Tree of Stit...

An ongoing tale of my stitching obsession. Monday, June 29, 2015. Finally - a finish! Yup, that's right. I managed to stick with something long enough to finish it off! The design that kept me going long into the night was Quaker Gardens by Blackbird Designs. I was determined to finish it last night before going to bed. Well, Quaker Garden's time to shine finally came around and I enjoyed stitching every little bit of it. Recommended threads and fabric. Til next time,. Links to this post. On the Dry Side.

moonsilk stitches: EGA Challenge--layers 4 and 5

http://moonsilk-stitches.blogspot.com/2015/07/ega-challenge-layers-4-and-5.html

Friday, July 10, 2015. EGA Challenge- layers 4 and 5. Sorry, this was to have been posted last week. I've been doing the pressing and organizing on the weekends and trying to do some stitching on the week days. Below is layer 4. I pressed it over freezer paper and then stitched it with the paper still in to give it a bit of thickness and stiffness. The edges where they overlap the box shape at the bottom are outlined in red flower thread. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Thursday, December 18, 2014. I'm stitching some, and planning a lot, but I can't show what I'm doing until the new year. Our Family gathering is December 31. In the meantime, I'd like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! And safe New Year! Sunday, December 14, 2014. Last weekend was full of holiday spirit! I was stitching these Bargello stockings: Star in the Meadow by Patricia Mazu, an ANG. Clown tree by local organization. On Saturday we went to the nearby Indiana Welcome Center. If you'd prefer ...
