Tutorial for Project Bag. It is Finished and Hand Quilting Lives! Yes…it is FINISHED! But first, I want to share a little story about the small quilt group of which I am a member. There are only three of us.These are the two ladies who have helped me quilt my king-sized quilt this past year, Carol and Jessica. I have been quilting with these lovely ladies for several years now, but they have been together for eons! I was so grateful for their help! Take a minute to browse her website and see the beautifu...

Karen's Colourful Creations: Catch up
http://www.karenscolorfulcreations.com/2015/04/catch-up.html
An ongoing tale of my stitching obsession. Thursday, April 23, 2015. It's been awhile, I know. I have been severely neglecting my blog and for the most part stitching in general. Recently, I picked up a small little ornament that I was working on before Christmas and I enjoyed placing the simple Xs on this simple little design and it's all sort of snowballed since then. I've finished this cute little Prairie Schooler design a couple of weeks ago. Just Cross Stitch Christmas Issue 2010. The leaves are act...

An ongoing tale of my stitching obsession. Thursday, August 27, 2015. A little of this . and a little of that. This summer is just flying by. It's hard to believe it's August already and it seems too soon for leaves to be changing colour, but I found some this morning! The weather this past week has been absolutely dreadfully hot hot hot. Blue Jay in the bird bath re-purposed as a bird feeder. Squirrelly - I think I have a dozen of these little guys running around. I've also worked on Summer Tree of Stit...

Karen's Colourful Creations: June 2015
http://www.karenscolorfulcreations.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
An ongoing tale of my stitching obsession. Monday, June 29, 2015. Finally - a finish! Yup, that's right. I managed to stick with something long enough to finish it off! The design that kept me going long into the night was Quaker Gardens by Blackbird Designs. I was determined to finish it last night before going to bed. Well, Quaker Garden's time to shine finally came around and I enjoyed stitching every little bit of it. Recommended threads and fabric. Til next time,. Links to this post. On the Dry Side.

moonsilk stitches: EGA Challenge--layers 4 and 5
http://moonsilk-stitches.blogspot.com/2015/07/ega-challenge-layers-4-and-5.html
Friday, July 10, 2015. EGA Challenge- layers 4 and 5. Sorry, this was to have been posted last week. I've been doing the pressing and organizing on the weekends and trying to do some stitching on the week days. Below is layer 4. I pressed it over freezer paper and then stitched it with the paper still in to give it a bit of thickness and stiffness. The edges where they overlap the box shape at the bottom are outlined in red flower thread. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

I was stitching these Bargello stockings: Star in the Meadow by Patricia Mazu, an ANG. Clown tree by local organization. On Saturday we went to the nearby Indiana Welcome Center. If you'd prefer ...
