SANSA operates a Space Weather Centre in Hermanus which is one of thirteen Regional Warning Centres in the world that fall under the International Space Environment Service (ISES). The SANSA Space Weather Centre provides real time geophysical data on the near Earth space environment as well as forecasts and warnings of adverse Space Weather. The SPACEWEATHER Experiment

The SPACEWEATHER experimental program is devoted to the exploration - through dedicated space missions - of three main research fields:. Interaction between terrestrial geophysical events and Earth's ionosphere by the study of the correlation between seismic events and perturbation of the ionosphere electrical and magnetic fields and the Van Allen belts by the Chinese-Italian mission CSES. The other two items are related to the missions SilEye3-Alteino. Inside of the MIR Station, and the LAZIO-SIRAD.
