Everything You Knew is Wrong. Taking charge of my what now? January 16, 2008 at 8:00 am ( bioethics. This natural fertility stuff is all right, but I miss having a shorter, less brutal period and no three-day crying jags beforehand. Don’t miss the migraines and expelling huge blood clots, though. Wishful dreaming | Everything You Knew is Wrong
https://everythingyouknew.wordpress.com/2007/12/20/wishful-dreaming
Everything You Knew is Wrong. December 20, 2007 at 5:53 am ( doubt. 8221; I remember thinking. “I’ll LOOK it up in the Bible. I just want this to stop. I’m afraid.”. Later that night, I pulled my Bible off the shelf so I could look up the passage that had been seared into my brain during the dream. Of course, if you know Scripture better than I do, you know that there is no Numbers 119. Numbers 1:19. Are not terribly moving passages. Or passages of any interest at all to someone in spiritual crisis.

Absolutely No Spin: Pope Benedict XVI LOTH Photo
http://absnospin.blogspot.com/2013/03/pope-benedict-xvi-loth-photo.html
Thursday, March 28, 2013. Pope Benedict XVI LOTH Photo. I found this photo while doing a Google search and thought I would share it. Here we see our beloved Pope Emeritus praying the Liturgy of the Hours next to his brother Georg. This is an old photo, not one of his current hermetical life. Have a happy Triduum. Absolutely No Spin: Blessed Triduum
http://absnospin.blogspot.com/2013/03/blessed-triduum.html
Friday, March 29, 2013. I would like to take a minute on this Good Friday to wish all of you a blessed Triduum. If you have the opportunity to experience the Church's "traditional" liturgy this weekend, I highly recommend you do so. There really is no proper substitute for it. The chant is some of the best in the liturgical year. Friday, March 29, 2013. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 1 Ioann 4, 16. Absolutely No Spin: At the Crossroads
http://absnospin.blogspot.com/2006/04/at-crossroads.html
Monday, April 24, 2006. Get ready, here comes one heckuva post. I have done the altar-call type of experience before, where all you have to do is accept Christ into your heart and *poof* - you are in. It requires no real. Commitment (except the one you bind youself to) and there is no real process for redemption. Literally, you can be having a life changing experience one minute and be engulfed in sin ten minutes later. Then what? It doesn’t matter because you are already saved? Monday, April 24, 2006.

Absolutely No Spin: My First Tridentine Experience
http://absnospin.blogspot.com/2006/02/my-first-tridentine-experience.html
Sunday, February 19, 2006. My First Tridentine Experience. Today, I went to St. Michael the Archangel parish for Sunday Mass. Now, I've always been a more traditionalist person I'd say, and I had an idea of what I was getting into today but nothing I knew from reading about it could have prepared me for what I witnessed there. When the Mass had ended, the faithful did not get up and leave noisily like in most places I've been. They stayed there kneeling in "thanksgiving". We stayed around for a f...Not t...

Absolutely No Spin: Knox Bible Review: Love at First Opening
http://absnospin.blogspot.com/2013/08/knox-bible-review-love-at-first.html
Monday, August 12, 2013. Knox Bible Review: Love at First Opening. This was long overdue. I finally splurged to get myself a new Knox Bible from Baronius Press. The catalyst for the purchase was an old pocket New Testament edition that I bought some time ago at a used book store. This post is not about the translation itself. For information you can Google it or go here to read from it and about it. TAN Douay-Rheims edition in all the best ways. As far as I can tell, there are not a whole lot of decent p...

Absolutely No Spin: Down in adoration falling
http://absnospin.blogspot.com/2006/08/down-in-adoration-falling.html
Saturday, August 05, 2006. Down in adoration falling. Earlier today, I posted about a surprise I found on the internet. Fr. Benedict Groeschel is participating in this year's 40 hour devotion for the Diocese of Scranton at St. Peter's Cathedral. Some might not be familiar with this ancient devotion, but essentially it goes like this. I turned back around to focus my thoughts and say my prayers. I prayed for the intentions of many of my friends, the Holy Father, and yes, even SQPN! Not being confirmed yet...

Absolutely No Spin: Habemus Papam!
http://absnospin.blogspot.com/2005/04/habemus-papam.html
Wednesday, April 20, 2005. Habemus Papam, but any respectum? I'm not a Catholic, but in watching the coverage of John Paul II, the Inter Regnum, the Conclave, and now the election of Benedict XVI, I can tell you that much of it I found offensive. Next, they tried to handicap the papal election. We were inundated by profiles on all the cardinal "front runners". This is absolutely ridiculous. "An African pope? Do you know why the Church dissallows outside influence from its processes? Because everytime an ...
