Spokes and Stitches

Thursday, August 13, 2015. Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We took the pop up to Mile High campground near Cherokee NC so we could visit Wade's second National Park. I hope he grows to love these national treasures like I do. Daddy helped him stamp his passport. Once back we scaled the tower at Clingman's Dome. I was here as a kid but in a complete fog. We also got to see a lot of Elk! Our campsite was perfect, just look at this view and it helped to have good friends along to share the trails! Wade ...

Spokes and Stitches: April 2015

http://spokesandstitches.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Friday, April 17, 2015. What is a family? This question was asked of each of Wade's three year old class after learning about families this week. His response: It's when I was born, my Mommy works at Krispy Kreme. I hope someday he truly feels like the day we three met was some type of birthday for our family.for now I know he is proud of where I work. You gotta love the heart of a three year old. Monday, April 13, 2015. In an hour I could see pollen back on the hoods. Oh and the big boy underwear thing ...

Spokes and Stitches: Anniversary Trip to NOLA

http://spokesandstitches.blogspot.com/2015/07/anniversary-trip-to-nola.html

Thursday, July 16, 2015. Anniversary Trip to NOLA. Wade spent a few days with Aunt Kim while we took about 48 hours to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We hadn't even boarded the plane yet when I realized Wase wasn't going to miss us much at all! The next day we started off with coffee and beignets at Cafe Du Monde. To fuel us up for a three hour bike tour of the French Quarter and Garden Districts. Yes we were the only two in the group that chose to wear helmets in the heat and humidity. Wife, Dau...

Spokes and Stitches: March 2015

http://spokesandstitches.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 21, 2015. Wade went with us as we did a shortened ski trip to the Salt Lake area. He is a good little traveller. Mike got sick and missed our first day at Brighton and the second day at Snowbird has really bad visibility so I am sure we didn't see the best that mountain had to offer. But the last two days were glorious blue sky days at Solitude. So now I am ready for flip flops and getting out on our bicycles and doing some hikes. Spring has sprung in NC! Heritage Quilts: June 2010

http://heritagequilts.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

The meanderings of a wife, mom and quilter. Thursday, June 3, 2010. I am a child of God. I have many brothers and sisters in Christ. One of those brothers and his family are in need of prayers. A blog has been set up to keep all informed and comments support the family. Lucas' dad is posting on his daily, sometimes hourly progress. They all need our prayers. He has given permission to share and since I believe in the power of prayer, I have to share. Meanderings by Heritage Quilter. A Passion for Applique.

Heritage Quilts: Saturday Morning

http://heritagequilts.blogspot.com/2009/05/saturday-morning.html

The meanderings of a wife, mom and quilter. Saturday, May 16, 2009. The husband has gone fishing, the kids are still in the bed. Bear Hugs All Around: A Mom Story

http://bearhugquiltworks.blogspot.com/2014/05/a-mom-story.html

Bear Hugs All Around. Sunday, May 11, 2014. This was about the same time that Jaws hit the theaters so a shark siting was BIG neighborhood news. One day a man was fishing very near where my friends and I were swimming.and oh my gosh.he caught a shark! It did look like a scene from the movie (though the shark was a bitty sand shark but still.) Yes, everyone scrambled out of the water. The crowd gathered around the great fisherman and his deadly catch.including my mother. I find the shark photos. May 15, 2...

Isn't it beautiful? What a wonderful path we have traveled down together. Loving the old stuff,. Monday, February 9, 2009.
