Knitters UNITE: November 2012
http://southsideknitting.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Where the moon sits low. Fair warning: This post is mostly stuff that you've seen before.). I was delighted to learn in the last few days that last winter's oversized sweater. Now fits much better (and even more delighted since its recipient is still quite delighted by "hop hops" even if she does call them bunnies now). (H: M, what are you thankful for? But you cannot pet a bunny. You can only watch them go hippity hop.). I was a little skeptical of this cocoon. Since I have a...

Knitters UNITE: and if I haver, well...
http://southsideknitting.blogspot.com/2015/04/and-if-i-haver-well.html
Friday, April 3, 2015. And if I haver, well. A bit of a crafting hijack here, which will almost certainly continue in future posts. I was the lucky recipient of a rigid heddle loom for Christmas (the Glimakra 19" Emilia) and I've been working on getting my selvedges to be decent, so that's taken up a good chunk of my crafting time. Here's the piece with warp and weft reversed. I'm looking forward to making a dent in the yarn stash with a few more weaving projects. I've got one more that is ready to b...

Knitters UNITE: April 2012
http://southsideknitting.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 15, 2012. The future was wide open. As I near completion on Christmas 2011 gifts, I'm letting myself daydream about some upcoming knits. This yarn is destined to be a celebratory wisp of a project, which I'm very much looking forward to knitting. And I've got a design in my head for these beauties. Here's hoping I can translate what's in my head to reality! And, just in case you were longing for a shot of my poor continental knitting, here you go:. What are your spring knitting plans? And I...

Knitters UNITE: it's the same old circle going round, but
http://southsideknitting.blogspot.com/2015/04/its-same-old-circle-going-round-but.html
Saturday, April 11, 2015. It's the same old circle going round, but. This hat is an amalgam of the Turn-A-Square. Pattern, which I've greatly enjoyed knitting before, the Purl Soho Simple Pleasures. Brim, and the Dessine-Moi Un Mouton. All together, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out and the recipient seems to enjoy it as well, so I'll call the amalgam a success! Knitters UNITE: Knitting Frenzy
http://southsideknitting.blogspot.com/2013/11/knitting-frenzy.html
Wednesday, November 13, 2013. I knit these two shawls for a silent auction for Choralis, the auditioned chorus I sing with. They both sold, though of course not for what I thought they were worth! I bought this yarn (Brooklyn Tweed's Shelter, in Fossil) on one of my June expeditions looking for judges for the fair. I used the gift certificates my office mates gave me on my retirement. The pattern (Currant Cardigan) was from the cover of Interweave's Spring 2013 issue. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Knitters UNITE: January 2015
http://southsideknitting.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 10, 2015. Since we acquiring scads of baby stuff by the week for our 6 month old adorable babe, Riya, we are working on keeping up by getting cleaning out and rid of stuff. I found my old tub of yarn I haven't touched in years in a closet! There is some quite lovely yarn that was making me feel knitting nostalgic. But I have zero recollection what projects the yarn was intended for. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What we write about:. Inability to stick to deadlines. Knitting on the Metro.
