The Great Escape 2……….If Any Wives Read This, I'm Only Joking. Day 7 – May 6, 2009. May 12, 2009. We headed out from Beauty Point on Tuesday morning after the very hospitable Marion looked after us at The Riveria Hotel. A magnificent spot on the water, huge steaks for $14 cooked out on the BBQ, great desserts, cold beer and a log fire. Life doesn’t get much better than that! From Beauty Point we headed to Stanley. A small fishing village that features a big ‘Nut’. We stayed the night at the Stanley Hotel.

Friday 17th - Saturday 18th February 2017. The main event is held at the Smithton Recreation Ground, on Nelson St, Smithton. The night show is held in the Function Room at the same facility. As you enter Smithton, turn left onto A2 (towards Marrawah). After 1.5km, turn right at the roundabout and follow Nelson Street for 1.3km. Great food and beverages will be available all day. Bring a chair and a warm blanket for the cool night air. From the Recreation Ground, travel north on Nelson Street for 300m.
