Via: Online PhD Programs. 정말 안습한 현실이군요. 참 슬프지만 사실이기도 합니다. 요새 같은 시대에, 뚜렸한 목표나 의식 없이 본인의 신분 상승을 목적으로 박사를 했다가는 뭐. 이젠 더이상 학위가 도피처는 아니라는 것을 누구나 다 알만큼 알지 않나 싶습니다. 월등히 공급이 수요를 앞서는게 박사학위 인력시장의 현실입니다. 본인이 정말 이 분야가 너무나 재미있고 정말 하고싶다는 목표가 없으면 후회하기 나름이지요. 게다가 엔지니어링쪽 미국 박사의 졸업후 연봉을 보면 그저 눈물만 ㅠㅠ 50%의 이공계 박사과정들이 인터내셔널이라는데, 왜 그런지에 대해서는 고민해보지 않고 그냥 사실만 달랑 적어놓은건 유감이네요. 왜 수많은 이공학도들이 자기네 나라 학교 대신 미국으로 유학을 오는 것일까요? 이건 나중에 다시 끄적여보도록 하겠습니다. 박사 후에 대한 고민.
