Wednesday, November 24, 2010. The headlight works only in the low beam mode. The high beam does not work. There was a broken wire in the switch housing. The purple wire was broken. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. The headlight works only in the low beam mode. The high beam does not work. There was a broken wire in the switch housing. The purple wire was broken. After striping the wire, soldering and wrapping it up, it works again. hurray! Labels: High Beam not working. The tail light was not working. The brake light works (although for me the brake light would not work with the front brake) but the running tail light does not. Open the glove box and loosen the two screws.

Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Stella Cowl Removal and installation. In May of 2010 me and my wife went to Paris and fell in love with all the Vespas and scooters we saw there. We fell in love with Paris as well, but that's a different blog. When we got back to the States I found a Stella on ebay for the "right" price. It is a 2003 model and is showing signs of wear but is generally in great shape and still lots of fun to ride. Is a must for me since I live in a po-dunk town with no real Vespa repair shop.

Wednesday, November 24, 2010. The tail light was not working. The brake light works (although for me the brake light would not work with the front brake) but the running tail light does not. The bulb was fine, but my meter says the wires back there are not getting any juice. After taking the whole dammed scooter apart and tracing down every wire I almost gave up. I decided to look behind the horn. There is a fuse box containing one fuse and a spare behind the horn. Here's how to get to it.
