Tuesday, May 19, 2009. After 6 months of intense training, it came down to this.70.3 miles and a little over 7 hours of agony. joy. exhaustion. pride. pain. and triumph. I woke up at 4:30am to eat a big bowl of oatmeal amongst other things, about 600 calories worth. I barely slept the night before, but I knew I'd be nervous and unable to sleep well. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Updates, Updates, and more Updates. I have a ton of things to update you all on. For now I will just let you know what I've completed from my 101 in the last 3 months. Here goes:. 19 Visit friends in California. This was a bittersweet trip as we had other obligations while we were there, but it was great to see everyone and it was nice to be able to relax a bit with them. 46 Run a 5k. 52 Run 1001 miles. I'm already at 204 miles! 76 Go to 4 non-sport entertainment events.

Wednesday, March 25, 2009. I've been getting ready. The St. Patrick's Day Triathlon was my practice race. It was a sprint: 300m swim, 12 mile bike, 3.1 mile run. I did really well considering the weather. I hopped out of the pool and ran outside to 40 degrees and misting. Here's what it looked like. My transition area wasn't ideal. Everything was cold and wet and I struggled to put on warm clothes after the swim. Needless to say, my transition time was really slow! If I look freezing, its because I was!

We all have been very busy with school and then vaction. Brendan will go on to the 4th grade and Carter will wait another year for Kindergarten. We decided to hold him off forhis best interestand maturity. Brendan passed his TAKS Tests reading and Math. YEAH! As soon as school ended Brendan and Gabe went on a guys camping trip in Medicine.

Every year our feeder highschool lines up at Lone Star Elementary to walk over to the high school Not a far walk but SO much fun! Boys rode their bike up to the school to be in parade! I did take the pictures in Black in White mode. I like the look so much more details and able to really see the faces. Aaron rode the scooter instead. I think they all had a blast! Taking it one day at a time. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Family Vaction June 2010. We decided in March that we would take the boys to San Antonio Sea World. We was so excited about takin a family vaction. Our first stop on our way was in Austin, TX. We stopped at the Congress street bridge to see the famous Austin Mexican Brown bats fly from the bridge at sunset. Here are my guys waiting for the sunset to see the bats. May be hard to see but in picture there are 2 bats that had just emerged from the bridge.

So on the computer I went, not that I don't have 50 cookbooks I could have gone to. So I found this one but I have tweeked it to make it my own. 1 stick unsalted butter, melted and cooled. 3/4 cup whole milk. 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour. 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar for top of muffins. 2 teaspoons baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
