Stirring up memories
http://www.stirringupmemories.com/about.shtml
Patricia hasn't been "Patricia" since she was three, when her musically inclined older sister transformed Patricia Louise into Trilla. Trilla grew up in lonely, wind-swept Amarillo, Texas and raised her family in bustling, oil-frenzied Houston, where she also studied economics, which she later taught in college for many years. Today, she lives in the small-town world Bainbridge, Georgia with her husband Bob. (The nearest city is Tallahassee, Florida.).

Stirring Up Ghosts
Taking the Long Way to Art. Friday, November 21, 2014. The poem is "The Stolen Child," by Irish poet William Butler Yeats. You can find the full text of the poem here. Several musical artists have set the poem to music, including the Waterboys and Loreena McKennitt. I like McKennitt's version. But really prefer the Waterboys, which you can find here. It's from their album "Fisherman's Blues.". Enough of the lecture. And I liked it. I thought it added some definition. By this time I had decided th...The m...

A newlywed's adventures in life, love, and cooking. Grandma Lil’s Famous Chicken Soup. What could possibly be more cozy than a big bowl of chicken soup on a chilly fall afternoon? My thoughts exactly, which is why I decided to make my Grandma’s “famous” chicken soup this weekend. Why is it famous, you ask? Thank you, internet! One of these days I will figure out how to insert a hyperlink into my post! Clearly I need a bigger pot! Chicken and veggies are working their magic. See all that foam? 3-4 quarts ...
Stirring Up Magic | The adventures of an eclectic Celtic pagan
The adventures of an eclectic Celtic pagan. Tuesday Intent: Hunting and Courage. August 4, 2015. August 4, 2015. Last night in a dream I had to face one of the most stressful fears in my life (at the moment). It’s something that’s inevitable in my life and something that causes me a lot of fear. In my dream I literally screamed and raged and did everything I could to not let it happen. And it still did. I woke up with a pounding heart and a pounding heart. So I amended it and added courage. Will you have...

Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Sweet Tomato Basil Sauce. The light and perfect flavors of sun ripened tomatoes and fresh basil are all that hit your tongue when you make this sauce. Please dont sub the butter in the recipe, it adds a sweetness and mouth feel that nothing else can match. I puree the sauce before adding the chopped basil because my family doesnt like the big pieces of onion, but it is completely up to you. Property of Stirring Up Magick. Labels: For the Table. Stirring up Saudi | Join us on our journey to the Middle East!
Bahrain….and a few Saudi pics. ;). October 22, 2014. As you all know, I’m horrible on updating this thing. When I finally have time to do it, I’m in my super cozy sleep number bed…with the a/c blasting all snuggled up in my down comforter. My cocoon. Who could leave that? Ok, moving on. We went to Bahrain a couple of weeks ago to get away from Saudi for a few days. We didn’t get too far away, just a country over. It was totally enough! Presly and her wiggly tooth before we left. Such a sweet and BIG boy!

Stirring Up The Kitchen...
Stirring Up The Kitchen. With A Spoonful Of Love. Sunday, December 8, 2013. With all these frigid temps lately, all I can think about is making hot soup! I like to experiment with soup because there are so many different things that can be 'thrown together' to make a simple dinner. Souper easy dinner ready when my hubby got home ;-). Today's recipe is one of those. This Fall I wrote it down as I made it.and now I am posting it for you! 12 Quart Stock Pot*. 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil. 3-4 Tablespoons Cumin (I...
