ONE: thought, word, action. Wednesday, March 26, 2008. It was a busy week, full of stress and weariness, and worst of all, nothing was getting done. It had less to do with time management or over commitment, and more to do with the ‘more than usual’ interruptions and distractions that entered my life. 8220;Don’t we often look at the many events in our lives as big or small interruptions, interrupting many of our plans, projects and life schemes? What if the evens of our history are molding us as a sculpt...

ONE: thought, word, action. Thursday, July 19, 2007. Movement, Myth, or Reality? Robert Webber’s book,. Captures what he calls, “the thinking of the college and seminary student, and in particular, the ‘Twenty-Something’. A major concern of this book is where these movers and shakers are likely to lead the evangelical community in the next 25 years.”. There is a Season...: February 2006
http://emilyjoysmith.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
There is a Season. Saturday, February 25, 2006. White knuckles gripping tightly to the very thing that hurts me most. Tug-of-War with God, trying to regain control. Thinking.no.hoping that it's in my hands, when it's really not at all. Trying. Trying to hold on, tighter, and hurting all the while. Fighting and failing, fighting and failing. Failing to relieve myself of the pain. Posted by Emily Joy at 9:58 PM. Wednesday, February 22, 2006. God, grant me the SERENITY to ACCEPT the things I cannot change,.

Warped from inconsistency, mediocracy, storms within myself. Hell looked inviting-standing on the edge-willing to plunge. Run away from it all. Away from the truth. Misleading myself, but doing it anyway. What does He want from me? Why don't I care anymore? Why can't I do what I want without guilt? Rebellion from God and even myself. I'm as br...

http://emilyjoysmith.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
There is a Season. Thursday, May 11, 2006. It's springtime and everything seems fresh and new in my life. I'm learning to let go.loosen my grip on the things that once held me back from living a life I really wanted. I'm learning to take care of myself. To know when enough is enough. I'm learning what's best for me. It's not easy, this journey I'm on. But I cherish it. It's my life.and I know that I can grow and learn and look back and be pleased with how far I've come.
