Saturday, February 04, 2012. Early morning scene in princesa bulakna, locals go out to pick shells (locally referred to as sisi) that are usually attached to coral stones. Early morning, locals head out to collect sisi. Low tide early in the morning, waters are rough and waves are big. during calmer season, princesa bulakna has a gorgeous snorkeling front as it is a marine sanctuary. A clear sunday morning. Saturday, April 09, 2011. Zest air makes cebu pacific look like paradise in the customer service front. A friend of mine booked a round trip ticket for himself, his wife and sister-in-law for a long planned vacation. unfortunately, his flight with zest air got cancelled with no apparent reason. I guess we can live with the fact that flights get cancelled. but what defines customer service is what a company does after the cancellation. That's not the worst part. despite attempts by the ground staff, t...

incessant rambling: Everything Yummy Food + Love
http://fildude.blogspot.com/2011/12/everything-yummy-food-love.html
Monday, December 26, 2011. Everything Yummy Food Love. With a restaurant named "Everything Yummy Food Love" certain expectations are set. It was a feature in a local newspaper that got me interested, that and the fact that the proprietor / owner, Hans Congmon, is an acquaintance in the gym where I used to work out. Added to the fact that his family originally owned the Sunburst restaurant/franchise that served very decent food and arguably one of the best fried chicken in town. Grilled Lemon Grass Chicken.

Interiors of the convent, a bit run down though it still had the original flooring and wooden pegs used to hold the structure together. Old furniture, a place where you can sit and gaze at the main street overlooking the church. Wooden pegs are used to hold the pieces of the floor together. OUR MUCH AWAITED TR...

Sunday, February 26, 2012. Coco Grove Resort, San Juan, Siquijor. The restaurant, non-guests are not allowed to go to the other areas of the resort. After going through the town of Maria and Lazi, it was almost noon and I asked Nonoy to drive us to Coco Grove resort in San Juan town to get some lunch. The place is the only upscale resort in Siquijor situated in San Juan that boasts of a very long coastline of fine white sand. A couple of the friendly staff in the restaurant. Links to this post. Saturday, May 28, 2011. A post marking the "spot". What's 10,564 km from Canada, 2,990 km from Japan, 1,116 km from Hong Kong and 9,882 from Germany? The famous sunset of boracay, framed by the islets near station 1. If you find exactly that spot then you're probably standing somewhere in Station 3, Boracay, an island part of Malay town in Aklan, Philippines. most people know boracay to be the pattaya or bali of the philippines. which isn't really a good thing. Ferris wheel, d'mall, station 2. An array o...

I did promise myself that i was going to go through the whole menu of Joed's Lutong Hapon and try to order everything in the list. so far i'm making rather quick progress as i end up going back to the place at least once a week. Steamed mackerel sushi with ginger and parsley, surprisingly light and fresh! I ordered the beef gyudon as Edgar kept ...
