Aug 29, 2015. Fort Channarayanadurga - part 2. Continued form Fort Channarayanadurga - part 1. December 28, 2014. Stairway to the summit. Eranna is getting colder as we climb higher. but his enthusiasm is firm. This stairway is really steep, steps are short, had to place my feet side diagonally. View from one gateway; ruins of structures which might have been store houses or military barracks. The H-shaped wall might have been a stable. Did they ever leave a painting of the construction site? View throug...

May 30, 2015. Choubara, tower of Bidar. Steps are on the outside, tower at Bidar has steps within the tower. This reminds of Upli Burj. The tower at Bijapur which has steps on the outside. Tourists if lucky get a chance to climb the tower right upto the top. Well, I wasn't so lucky. Stone's throw from Chaubara is a present day creation; a 40' burj. Location: Fateh Darwaza Road, Old City Fort Area, Bidar, Karnataka 585401, India. May 23, 2015. Here's a rough plan of the fort. Here's the well. A father...

Journeys across Karnataka: Amboli Ghats
http://karnatakatravel.blogspot.com/2010/09/amboli-ghats.html
Sep 13, 2010. I heard about Amboli sometime January 2010. Not the right time of the year to visit- that's my opinion. During rainy season the streams would be flowing, cascading and diving of hills. that's when we got to see during our visit mid July. We stopped by to check out this plant which covered entire hills .looked just like a tea estate. Our third stop was at Nangatarasakari Temple and Waterfall. The pictures above do not describe the scene fully .you should watch the video. To escape the troubl...
