A Big, Juicy Van: The Cold War
http://abigjuicyvan.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-cold-war.html
A Big, Juicy Van. Saturday, June 15, 2013. Well, I went on another trip to watch soccer, and boy is there a lot to tell. Like why I am wearing this unicorn hat, for example. Everything in its due time. Snow And lots of it. I'll drop pictures throughout the description. Landing in Denver provided us with the trip's second wrinkle-a rude weather awakening. It was much colder than we had expected! The trip's third wrinkle? Allowed the hotel to overbook their rooms. It was all technological Greek to me&#...

A Big, Juicy Van: Don't Mess with Texas
http://abigjuicyvan.blogspot.com/2013/02/dont-mess-with-texas.html
A Big, Juicy Van. Sunday, February 17, 2013. Don't Mess with Texas. The "neighboring Texas town"? Houston. I ultimately agreed and Tim and I were set to attend our 8th US game together. I would buy a plane ticket, Tim would rent a car and we'd drive to Houston that night to watch the game. After the game, we'd drive back to San Antonio, sleep in the airport and catch our flights home. T-"So, they wouldn't give me the car.". Long Silence) "I'll get on it.". What other choice did I have? The drive there wa...

A Big, Juicy Van: Of kits and kilts-USA-Scotland
http://abigjuicyvan.blogspot.com/2012/05/of-kits-and-kilts-usa-scotland.html
A Big, Juicy Van. Monday, May 28, 2012. Of kits and kilts-USA-Scotland. I haven't updated this in a while. Maybe because I haven't taken any trips for a while. That changed this past weekend. I went to Jacksonville, FL to see the US national team take on Scotland. This was an exciting prospect for my friend and I. It was the first game in the US for some time and we expected it would be a good game, with plenty of support for both teams. We'll get to that. Kilt wearer-"So how's it going to end, mate?

A Big, Juicy Van: KC Final Part
http://abigjuicyvan.blogspot.com/2011/08/kc-final-part.html
A Big, Juicy Van. Thursday, August 4, 2011. What made this trip so attractive was that I was able to get decent airfare, but I was required to take flights with a layover in Minneapolis in order to get the best price. My flight home wouldn't leave until 3 in the afternoon, getting me back to Phoenix around 7 in the evening. I figured I'd rest/sleep in the airport and everything would be fine. The taxpayers of KC must pay a fortune to keep the airport at what seemed to be a chilly 45 degrees! She printed ...

A Big, Juicy Van: Guess I really am a manager of toilet bowls
http://abigjuicyvan.blogspot.com/2011/08/guess-i-really-am-manager-of-toilet.html
A Big, Juicy Van. Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Guess I really am a manager of toilet bowls. My toilet in my house was impossible to flush. It took almost all of my body weight resting on the handle before the toilet would flush. Within a week or so, I had already snapped one toilet handle and having trouble with a second. Well, on August 9, 2011, it all became too much to bear. I pulled out the google dictionary and found out that all I needed to do was to replace the flush valve seal. Simple! A Day in LA.
