Just another wine blog. Sunday, February 20, 2011. The first stop in North Carolina’s. Yadkin Valley was RagApple Lassie, a 150-year-old estate with a curious namesake. We were warmly welcomed by Lenna Hobson, wife of vineyard manager and owner Frank. Lenna took us through the fascinating story of the development of RagApple Lassie and showed us around a bit, then introduced us to Frank and the estate’s winemaker, Linda King. Frank and Lenna Hobson. Frank and RagApple Lassie. And the curious namesake?

http://woodruffwine.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
As we have begun to expand our Wine Horizons (winorizons), we thought it would be fun to just setup a separate space to blog our visits to North Carolina's wineries. We'll see how long this lasts! Tuesday, May 16, 2006. PS: The Raffaldini website had a great little " grape dictionary. That explains all about the different grapes. Good reading. Also, Chambourcin was another one that I wasn't familiar with pre-trip. there's a little write-up on them on the NC Wines website. cya! Posted by Caryn @ 3:29 PM.
