Tangmere Aviation Museum is located in the the same place as historic RAF Tangmere. Although little of the original site remains today, apart from the graves of the fallen (in the nearby Churchyard), a commemorative stone and the 'Tangmere Cottage.' What is most impressive about the aviation museum is that it tends to be staffed by very knowledgeable and friendly volunteers, and their enthusiasm alone makes any visit a pleasurable experience. RAF's 91, 92 and 93 squadrons used the base for 3 months.
