I've never had such a Momma's girl before. For her birthday this year, we decided that since we don't live near any family we'd invite our cul de sac friends and Israel's co-workers over for "Lilly's Luau"! Thank you to everyone for making it a fabulous day!

The Nichols Nut House. Improving One Day at a Time. Tonight Emma asked me to sit with her and listen to her "wonderful" prayer. She prayed, "Dear Heavenly Father, please help me to play the piano and help me with all the things that are hard for me. Please bless everyone in the whole universe. To be safe. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.". Links to this post. Random Things We've Been Up To During My Lazy Phase of Family Blogging. The Nichols Nut House. Improving One Day at a Time. Thankful Hearts.er, bricks. Yesterday we had our annual FHE on gratitude. Each year we cut out red bricks from construction paper, write things we're thankful for on them and build a fireplace to hang our stockings by for Christmas. This year I got smart and cut them out the day before and had them LAMINATED so I don't ever have to cut the squares again! Next year all we'll have to do is write new things we're thankful for! The Nichols Nut House. Improving One Day at a Time. It still kills me that I have a girl old enough to attend Activity Days! I was recently asked to help out with one of their adventures. We first went to the Temple Visitor's Center and the sister missionaries showed some great videos. Then we went to Applebee's, yep, Applebee's for dinner. Applebee's you ask? There was a face painter there that night too and of course, all the girls got in line! Links to this post. Links to this post. Go to your bed.

The Nichols Nut House: June 2011
http://nicholsflyers.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
The Nichols Nut House. Improving One Day at a Time. This week has been full of "getting it all done" projects such as: clean the van, put the carseat in, make sure groceries are stocked, laundry done, etc etc. Well, my MOST favorite thing I wanted to do this week was to take each of the girls on their very own Mommy-Daughter Date! Maggie got to go first and she requested that we pick up lunch from McDonald's and eat it down by the river. Excellent idea! They bless my life everyday. Links to this post.

The Nichols Nut House. Improving One Day at a Time. I know that not all adults agree with me, but I LOVE IT when the kids come bounding into my bedroom at 5am rearing to go and full of excitement! I LOVE that they squeal and drag me out of bed to join in their fun. Brings a smile to my face every time. The kids were GREAT! They were so excited and grateful. I remember when we got that! Feel free to skip this part of your reading. The kids get a little extra present, too. Hot Wheels! Yes, we have girls).

The Nichols Nut House. Improving One Day at a Time. Lilly's First Few Weeks. Links to this post. Born: June 30, 2011. She was actually due July 7th, but my doctor was going out of state so we lucked out! Israel and I arrived at Mountain View hospital at 5:30am Thursday, June 30th. It was the strangest feeling to wake up knowing I was really going to have a baby in just a few hours. I also think it a bit cruel to make schedule c-sections come in so early. Seriously, can there be no perks? Then Iz took the...

The Nichols Nut House. Improving One Day at a Time. Waitdo we get spring in Idaho? Oh, oh that's right we do it's just seems to be late and short. That's okay. We did manage to get some of our favorite flowers to come up before rearranging the flower bed in the front. I thought they made for lovely center pieces. Israel got to be the lucky Dad and take Emma on her last field trip to the Zoo with her Preschool class this year (I was working). I hear they had a fabulous time! They didn't take many pictures.
