What's New In Newnan? Monday, April 29, 2013. We have slowed down on the renovation in the house. But we did get a new front door. The original one, had not only a brass kick plate, and brass hardware but it was rusting and I don't even think 4 coats of paint would have helped it! Kelly's Party of Four! Friday, May 20, 2011. Well, Graduation Day has come and gone! It was such an AWESOME feeling to be sitting among all of the graduates! I had such an overwhelming since of pride and accomplishment! I had my phone with me throughout the ceremony, I text my brother, Kurt, and told him how now I understood why he did it THREE times! Now don't get me wrong I hate brass/gold, whatever you want to call it! I have 5 working ceiling fans in the house. Nothing wrong with any of them but they are covered in brass.
