Le grand jour est enfin arrivé. Ou plutôt, on a été le chercher, et on a du le traîner par la peau du cul tellement il se faisait attendre. Et comme d’habitude, on a eu beau reporter notre départ de mois en mois, ça a été un peu le rush de dernière minute. Et bien sûr, il y a toujours un truc qu’on veut absolument faire avant de quitter un endroit où on a vécu plus de 14 ans. Et pour moi, c’est. visiter Angkor Wat! Ce fut chose faite, par un matin très frais du vendredi 13 février, avec Su. Emu je fus.

Bon, pour le dépaysement, c’est pas encore ça. A part la conduite à gauche à laquelle il va falloir que je m’habitue. On a quitté la frontière un peu tard, vers 17:30, donc le premier souci sera le dîner. Dans les toilettes publiques, puis de retour dans le bus je m’autorise à démarrer le moteur et mettre la clim’. Je m’en fout, j’ai une maison avec des panneaux solaires, alors qu’on ne vienne pas me faire chier avec la pollution, surtout à cette heure tardive. Vers 4h00 du mat’, on arrive enfin pas loin...

Toujours aussi consciencieux, je n’avais pas lésiné sur les réparations mécaniques à Siem Reap, n’hésitant pas à changer une pièce légèrement usagée pour une pièce de rechange flambant neuve.
